After years of trying MidiCi I think we're giving up. We loved it when it first opened...the many, many topping options they used to have which you could have them build in the line were fantastic. Though there was always some issue with the final product, every time we went. They do a generally good job of making authentic Naples style pizza...cooked less than you think it should be in America, but spot on for Naples...but they keep getting our order wrong. This particular time they just forgot about the gluten-free pizza we ordered and brough us the other 2 at least 20 minutes prior to the gluten free one. That's not exactly how a family dinner (or dinner of polite people) should work with one person waiting a VERY long time to get their food while everyone else is sitting there trying to be polite. This is not the first time it's happened here either. Their gluten free crust, which used to be among the best in town, also seems to have taken a step backwords in terms of look and in this case was slightly burned all around. They offered a dessert sampler to us to make good. Which we declined – twice...and then they brought it anyway. I mean, awfully nice of you to want to make good on the food, but if we say "no" twice...maybe respect that choice? I don't see going back to Midici any more...every time we've been since they opened, there has been some issue with our food. Such a promising concept, especially if you love Neapolitan pizza...but, at least for us, it's been a disappointing end result every time.

The place is great. Myself and my wife came there for a pizza (truffle) the place was still not full and due to some difficulties in the kitchen. We had to wait very long time for the pizza and started to get really hungry angry.. my wife went to check on the order but still did not help. Not a good start! But then.. the pizza arrive, the stuff apologized and the pizza.. oh my good, was so good. One of the best we had for a while.. so we could forgive and the problems they had.. I really enjoyed the pizza so , even though there are so many places to eat in downtown Ventura, we found ourself in the next time back for another one.. the stuff was surprised to see us and giving them second chance and promised us the it will not happen. Again, and it was true, we ordered a great salad that arrived in minutes and few minutes after , the pizza was ready and again wonderful. I want to mention the girl Anna that was taking our orders and help in the kitchen. She was very kind polite and helpful, and new how to take responsibility when issues happened (I appreciated that) and was totally on her game the second night , and made sure everything will be great for us. ! We will be glad to come again

We didn't dine in so this review is relative to carry out only. The ingredients are fresh, the servers friendly and thorough. They are organized and efficient . We 've eaten there twice and the quality was consistent. Just had pizza and a salad for carry out and both were very fresh and tasty.

We ate at this restaurant a couple of years ago and were blown away with the fresh and tasty pizza, delicious salad and awesome dessert, all experienced in a really cool vibey space. Now, the place is starting to show its age, its food wasn't as good as it was, and there is a bit of grubbiness to the whole experience that left us wanting. The food is still a good value, but it definitely doesn't seem to be as carefully prepared - the salad had wilted lettuce and the dressing was nearly non-existent. The plates were heavily scratched and as a result didn't look clean. The tables were pretty filthy outside and the whole place seemed pretty grubby. Too bad, because when we visited before we couldn't wait to come back. I think this place still serves a good pie, but I think next time we would get it to take out and skip the salads... its just not as clean and nice a place as it once was...

Hottesome

Midici doesn't disappoint the have a tone of options for all dietary needs and an abundance of seating anytime of year especially out door seating in 2020. It's one of the few pizza restaurants that has an elevated experience from start to finish... from crafting you own pizza with amazingly fresh ingredients... to order wine and/or beer to pair with it... to their utensil and topping station were you can add even more herbs and spices or bring them to your table. Located on the corner of Van Nuys Blvd and Cedros just next door to Urban Outfitter Surplus and O'cado Food & Wine Bar (100% plant based)... Micidi is definitely a stand out and must try... Probably in my top 5 for pizza spots in LA... dough quality alone.... The impeccable customer service just makes it that much better.

Absolutely great! The music reminded me of Ibiza and reminded my partner of Mexico. The pizza bread was light and crispy and the mozzarella on the margarita pizza was delicious. The walnut salad was prime to my palate. It complemented the pizza really nicely, especially dipping the crust on the salads vinaigrette. Will definitely be returning.
