Our thanksgiving dinner at el Torito was really nice, food was great., a lot of choices and friendly people. I'm doing it again next year 🥳
This is our second year celebrating at El Torito for Thanksgiving and Christmas and the selection of food is out of this world and the buffet is huge.
El Torito- (Sherman oaks) The variety of food was outstanding—everything from fresh salads and flavorful entrées to delicious desserts. Every dish tasted freshly prepared.
Pablo the manager was very attentive from the very beginning ! The staff was friendly and attentive, constantly refilling stations and keeping everything clean without ever feeling intrusive. Over all experience was a 10/10 will definitely be coming back. Mimosas was also 10/10 ☺️

Since the first minute we got here, the manager (Pablo) greeted us very kindly, we already knew we were going to have a very good dining experience. We did the brunch on a Saturday evening, everything was very delicious from their menudo to their very delicious flan. Everything was just a 10/10 experience and it wasn’t just management but everyone overrall, we will definitely be back for their brunch on a Sunday!

We keep coming back because the service and the food are amazing. Pablo is always there to say Hello - and he even shared a great deal on gift cards with us! We love to bring friends and children to the brunch!

We had a few items from the new seasonal menu. Good stuff! And the grilled chicken enchiladas. Thoroughly enjoyable. Of course we had the mango margaritas, too.
The food was very salty, looks like something if off with the salt, the margaritas that we asked with salt on the edge of the cup was actually with salt in the drink , however the service was great.
We went to the Sunday Brunch today. It was a great time. The buffet has a lot of different choices. I love the chili releno, very tasteful and hot. Also, had salad with beef that melted in my mouth. They served us special pancakes with fruit, very fresh and hot. The service was great even though the restaurant was full and busy. It cost $34 per person which was a great value.
Pablo was very helpful during our school restaurant night. I don't think they were quite prepared for how many people we brought out but they were all very positive and accommodating :)
Restaurantji Recommends
Went out with some friends on Sunday around 6 pm and the server pedro was quite friendly and very attentive I definitely will coming back
Extremely loud but great food and service. Fresh/cooked perfectly lots of flavor
Been there several times.
Always in the bar and always great service from the staff.
I'm giving this restaurant a 2 out of 5, and that's being generous. The food was mediocre, the service was average, and the drinks were barely a 3. The worst part was at the end — they tried to overcharge us with strange surcharges no one could clearly explain, and then added extra tax on top of the tip. I used to enjoy this restaurant, but this experience completely changed my opinion. The food and atmosphere were disappointing, and I no longer recommend coming here.
I had a reservation for Mother's Day Brunch at 12:15 PM. When we arrived, we were told there would be a 20–30 minute wait to be seated. Understanding it was a busy holiday, we were patient and didn't make a fuss. However, after waiting for over an hour and watching multiple parties, including some who arrived after us, get seated before us, my mom understandably became frustrated. She approached the hostess to ask about our table, only to be told that they had already called my name and sent me a text, neither of which was true. We had been sitting just a few feet from the stand the entire time. When she finally did call a name, I asked for the last name since there were three parties with the same first name, but she never clarified or confirmed mine. What made the situation more frustrating was seeing walk-ins being seated while we, with a reservation, were still waiting. For a $50-per-person brunch, guests with reservations should be prioritized. The hostess seemed overwhelmed, and unfortunately, her manager wasn't stepping in to assist, which left her to absorb all the frustration from guests on her own. That didn't feel fair to her. Thankfully, our waiter was fantastic and truly saved the experience for us. Still, given the price and the overall lack of organization, the experience didn't feel worth it.
