Every time we tried to order something from the menu they said they didn't have it (drinks and meats). Then when we ordered they returned to the table a few minutes later and informed us that the meat hadn't been marinated yet and we would have to wait for 20 minutes. How can a restaurant operate like this? It seemed as though they operate like this daily. Like it wasn't an unusual occurrence.

Our waiter took a while to come to us, he wasn't particularly friendly and worse yet didn't say thank you when he was tipped 15%! Even though his service sucked, I still tipped him note to self, next time a service isn't up to par do not tip. Anyhooo the food was OK though I think the meat could have had more sauce on it. I don't like adding condiments after food is cooked. We were there for lunch so price was worth it.

i had a reservation at 8:45. got there a little earlier and was seated by 8:45 which i appreciate. the only thing is it took a waitress about 20 min just to come to our table to order our drinks. which i honestly think is way too long also the waitress wasn't really welcoming. it didn't look like she wanted to be there and didn't smile once. other workers were being helpful with what we needed but the waitress who was assigned to our table wasn't really accommodating & took her time with everything. we also ordered a beer probably 10 after she took our order and that took too long as well. thankfully the food was delicious. but that was my only concern.

Make sure you make a reservation before getting there otherwise be prepared to wait for a table.

Service has degraded over time. Extensive wait to be seated, minimal check-ins, frequent delays. Food is still alright!

This place is really good. We usually get the AYCE, but tried a la carte this time and I think we prefer that. We don't eat enough for AYCE to be worth it

We had the worse service I've had at Gyu. Forgot food, got things too late, some people got food some didn't.

Me and my partner went on a Wednesday (04/02) night for our 5 year anniversary. Not only was our server inattentive, requiring that we flag him down for every single time we needed anything. In one of our dishes (beef sukiyaki ) there was a huge piece of plastic (3 inches long) in it. After we brought it to our servers attention he said “sorry about that” and took the plate away. We then had to flag him down to replace it with white rice. We also had an order of meat that was full of cartilage. As this is a place me and my partner went pretty often, this has been the worst experience I've had there, and is definitely making me rethink any further visits.

Poor service - Waitress kept forgetting requests. Had to ask multiple times for the same items. Took 20 mins to get the bill after we had asked.

Overall a good experience. Food was tasty and fun for groups- priced decently well. Only negative aspect of our visit was the seating/hosting portion was just way too slow.

I come here very often. Food is always delicious. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it. This time I dined the service was not great. I had asked 3 different people for 2 forks that took over 15 min to get them. Some things we ordered never showed up to our table. We never got refilled on our waters until the very end of our meal. Our server made us feel like we the last table to be taken care of. Even the table next to us got better service from her than we did.

They were super full and the kitchen had a very long wait time. We were there for 90 mins and only had 5 plates of meat come out the whole time

Holiday weekend Kitchen backed up 90 Minutes for two people and not all our food came Management needs to plan better

Worst dinner ! Started off with the restaurant being out of napkins ! Then our waitress decided to go on break or leave didn't let us know she was leaving. Ordered a Valentines menu package and they were looking for dessert ingredients and couldn't find . They apologized took 30 bucks off bill but it was not enough for all the stress ;(
