First timer, picked up my order at 8:15 AM on Friday. Very nice modern, welcoming interior. Both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the "Trinity", "Guadalupe", "Don't Mess w/ Texas", "American Dream" by LCD Soundsystem and a order of crispy potatoes and lil'queso. All tacos were fresh, wrapped up nicely for takeout. Lil'Queso with Crispy Potatoes is big enough for 2 people, queso was so good (Chipotle has nothing on this) especially as a taco dip. Egg was fluffy and buttery. Definitely a new breakfast spot ill hit on my way to work. Employees were friendly and service was good. Green salsa was great! Red salsa wasn't spicy and lacked seasoning. Aside from this, I recommend anyone looking for a new breakfast place to give this place a shot. Cant go wrong with the good price for quality and big Texas portions!

We dined outside with my daughters dog. It was our first visit to this location as we ate at First location years ago. You order inside then place our number on the table and your order appears quickly. Your drinks are given to you inside when you pay. If you have a larger vehicle parking on the street is easy.
Parking: There is a smallish lot where you can park smaller vehicles but lots of parking on the side streets. Please DON'T block driveways!

Former Texan here, came out to LA about 6 years ago. This spot is one of the few that does queso right, and that earns the 5 stars by default. The tacos are really good, but my heart will always be with Taco Joint in Dallas.
This is our FAVORITE place to eat breakfast! Tacos are amazing and the service is even better!! The guy who works as the register, josh, Greets you with the biggest smile and the best attitude!! Would recommend 12/10!

I came into the Sherman Oaks location earlier today to grab some takeout. About halfway through ordering, I got extremely faint and just about hit the deck thanks to pregnancy woes, and the team was exceptional. While I sat in the floor trying to not sweat so profusely and see stars, they held my spot, offered me whatever I needed (quick sugar rush drink helped) and checked in on me. Even as they gave me my food to leave they asked again if I was okay and if there was anything else they could do. And I was so surprised with an extra sweet treat thrown into the bag. Already knew I loved the tacos on a weekend morning, but extra special thanks to taking care of this passing out pregnant lady today!

Not really their fault but there was a car alarm going off in their parking lot for at least 20 min. Kind of killed the mood
The flour tortillas were amazing. My friend loved all their tacos. Mine didn’t have any cheese so it wasn’t as spectacular but that’s to be expected. A bit more expensive at ~$5 a breakfast taco. The service was great. All the staff were friendly. Overall lovely experience and would like to come back.
Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options, but if you are vegan, some of the food won’t taste as good without the cheese/flour tortillas.
Parking: A very small parking lot (6 slots) so mostly street parking.

This is a really cute small taco place with a lot of different good combinations. Each of the tacos are a little bit expensive, but they come almost like mini burritos. They have different accommodations for food restrictions and the staff are always so friendly. They even have blankets and umbrellas available to use if you're sitting outside on the patio to prevent you from getting cold or from getting hit by the sun.

If I could eat nothing but potato tacos from Homestate for the rest of my life, I would. They’re the perfect ratio of spicy and potato. I’m so glad this place landed in my neighborhood, Homestate is the taco spot LA was missing. The staff here is so nice too. I like to use the app to order ahead and the vibe dining in is really nice too. Cheers 💕

But all these reviews saying food is amazing.... REALLY?????? I'm sorry for the owner and my honest review I can give you 20 places like this with really good Mexican food Food here is bad, is a copy of Mexican food, prices are ridiculous, on top they have valet parking, give me a break !!!! it's a fast food type with dine in restaurant infusion Could be culture type of misinterpretation of food taste This food is very like cactus fast food close by, same average food Drinks here are overpriced And this is from a person who dines in at Steak blvd (a few minutes walk from) for example where food and drinks are expensive but there is a value and reason to it. I don't mind paying for it But to get this food type for those prices here..... No thanks !!!
