Great location and setup. Parking is hit or miss but paid street parking is available. It's nice inside and plenty of seating. Sturdy seats and benches available. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Food is bland and quality was that of a lackluster hotel breakfast buffet. Canned Tepache was ¡no bueno! I didn't have any alcohol, so maybe that's HomeState's saving grace... 🤔

Overpriced. Tortillas were bland. The meat was chewy and runny. Everything had zero taste. I was recommended this place, but I don't recommend it. Save yourself the drive and disappointment. Go pick up some real street tacos from a food truck.

I’m vegan and gf and I love the potato tacos! Make sure to try their frozen margaritas!

Good food. Good prices. It's very family oriented and pet friendly. The one thing that bothered me was kids playing catch with a football in the very small parking lot and their parents not doing anything about it nor any of the coworkers.

Simply delicious. If they had churros, it would be perfect.

Breakfast taco inspired from San Antonio. Very good excepting the brisket, not at all like the moist brisket in San Antonio, more like Mexican shredded beef, without the flavor. Apparently it is dog friendly, there were three that i saw. One of the owners allowed her dog to drink out of a water glass, and fed it directly from a steel fork that you or I might use next!! Very off-putting! I've raised, shown, bred, and train dog, I would never allow a dog to drink / eat off of restaurant settings.

Packed on a Tuesday noon. Brisket taco with corn torilla was ok, a lot of meat. Fort worth taco with flour tortilla was a mess but got recommended with it instead of corn. Very loud. No cash accepted. Difficult parking. Had the non alcoholic margarita and was extremely sweet.
In a city with way more breakfast burritos compared to breakfast tacos - Homestate comes through with all day Breakfast taco options that are top notch. Their Flour tortillas are incredible - and the brisket is great!

This is my favorite restaurant in the valley, I always try to go when I’m in town. The staff are cool and friendly, the food is amazing and consistently GREAT any visit I make. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. The tortillas are my favorite of anywhere in LA!

The food was good, and more filling than expected. Salsas come in squirt bottles rather than portioned-out bowls, which is genius. They're yummy, too.
We didn't love the main food options we got, but we liked the quality and have other options to choose from on our next visit. I plan to go back and try different meals.
