What a delight! The Turkey sandwich for lunch then latte with cheese pastry made my day, no my whole week!
He bakes all breads everyday. You might not be lucky enough to get on time for pesto chicken but if you like pesto you can ask too add it to Turkey sandwich.
Pastries are better than the ones we had in Lisbon, which we thought was the best we ever had before.
The latte is exactly made the way it should and taste delicious.
Thank God they are walking distance from our house.
Must go!

A wonderful little bakery on Ventura Blvd. I came in for a coffee and a quick bite and didn’t expect much, but I was positively surprised. I believe the nice guy who greeted me is the owners son, he does some of the baking himself and told me it’s a family business. Everything I tasted was delicious.
Service was warm and genuine. I love supporting mom and pop shops like this.
Best bakery in LA, the Nutella croissants were spectacular

If you love local, small businesses that really invest in baking fresh, tasty pastries then this is the place for you! This isn’t some fast food place! They take their time to make your fresh cup of hot cappuccino and fresh baked warm croissant! It’s a place where you take in the kitchen aromas and invigorate your senses! A wave of nostalgia washed over me as I took a bite of the spinach triangles! It reminded me of my grandma’s kitchen!

Excellent croissants but very limited seating and the service was less than friendly. We ordered 2 pastries and 2 hot drinks. When I asked for some water because my tea was too hot to drink, I was told they don't give out a cup of water and I had to buy a bottle of water

Stopped in to get anything any fresh bread or a pastry, as I walked in door first thing I noticed was no smell of a yummy bakery mind you this was at 8:09am I asked the owner/counter personal Why I cannot smell any good fresh bakery smells after a long discussion he finally said nothing is baked here no ovens just items from other vendors . Nothing Freshly Baked use your sniffer nose as you walk in BINGO you were warned

I’m kind of ashamed to ever say I used to love this place. I used to drive out of my way to go to this place.
The owners arrogance is next level. Buying Costco blueberry muffins and selling them for absorbent prices.
Knefe prices are as if he flew to Lebanon to buy the cheese and came back to sell it for a small fortune. Might I add it’s not as good as he used to make it a few years ago.
I understand inflation has hit everything but I spent too much money on an eclair that was clearly days old and a pistachio cake that was rock hard. And I am not even going to try the raspberry and apricot cookies.
I’d pay the prices if the food was good but it’s old and stale and this is just a sad way for someone to end their small business that used to have the reputation as the best.
Don’t let the looks of this pistachio cake fool you.
I hope to one day hear they got better but I’m not holding my breath.

They have good stuff. It’s too bad. They don’t answer the phone or stay open till when they say they’re gonna be open till that would just be the icing on the cake.
I enjoyed a delicious salad and sweets for lunch.I brought fresh challah home and my friend said, "the sweet, melting bread with bits of raisin and sesame seeds were bursting with flavor on my taste buds."Highly recommend!

When I was in my croissant phase, I searched high and low, and I think La Galette has the best croissants in the valley :) This is a wonderful family business and everything is freshly made with some items having a Middle Eastern flair. The father of the father/son duo can sometimes be a little cantankerous… he incredulously asked me if I even knew what za’atar is?? when I tried to order their za’atar croissant - which by the way, is delicious!I love supporting a small and local business and you should too, and try them out :) On the weekends they make knafe which is really delicious!
