Read a review that said this place looks like Ikea and I couldn't agree more. It definitely does not have the vibe of an Italian restaurant. Drinks were yummy. Food was delicious. But for two people in this economy I would not come here and spend $150+ and still have to be the one responsible for the employees medical benefits? If you're charging this much for food you can afford benefits for your employees. Or just turn off the lights! save on electricity, and make the vibes better lol Staff is very friendly and checks up on you often so that is appreciated!

Casual but nice. Service and staff are very kind and knowledgeable. Recommended wine based on my preferences.Food was very good but I think they put cream in the carbonara… and a poached egg on top. I’ve seen this at other LA restaurants- not sure why it’s a thing.Good portion sizes.

This place is going downhill. What's going on here? This was my restaurant to brag about to my non Val peeps, was I wrong? The last two times I dined here were pretty disappointing. The food was just ok. I asked for steak medium rare and it came out pretty rare. Server never checked on our food. The service is not was it once was They need a manager, matre d, owner, or someone to invest some energy into getting this resolved. I feel like they need an attitude adjustment because this place wasone of the best new places in the valley and I have enjoyed it tremendously. Come on osteria, get it together!

We booked this place on Resy a couple of days prior to arrival. We arrived, and all was well until we received our bread. The bread had hair on it. Looked green/blue (photo is attached to this review). We brought this to attention to our server to where she began inspecting the bread in front of us to make sure we're not lying. Very disrespectful. But fine, that's okay.Service from there went downhill, and she became rude to us for no reason. 2nd strike, fine. The last straw was when we received the bill, and we saw a 5% charge for a "Health Fee" for the staff. Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not charity to be paying for your employees. Thus, I left no tip since they decided to add a 5% surcharge on their own. After we left, I received a call from the restaurant, leaving me a voicemail. This was a manager named Steven. The voicemail was basically asking for feedback since they had a "rocky" night. I'm sorry but my number was not meant to be given to you for you to contact me after I leave the restaurant. My number was used for reservation purposes only. The only thing I can think of for why I received a call was to figure out why we left a $0 tip.

The food was excellent. The service was very spotty; we got a very sparse serving of bread with no butter or olive oil until we had to ask for it! When we wanted more bread it took 20 minutes to get it. The place is very noisy and hard to hear people next to you. Also, they do not take cash, which was not mentioned until we got our bill. 0j

My husband and I came here for date night and loved the food. We got the Steak tartare, hamachi crudo, the carbonara, and the short rib ragu. We also got their tiramisu which was creamy and delicious as well as the butterscotch budino which was equally delicious. The service was good with knowledgeable staff. The decor is chill and definitely not stuffy. I just wish the music matched the vibes of the place, it was very loud in there considering everyone was from the neighborhood out for a Sunday night dinner on a rainy day. Overall great place and we plan on coming back with the kiddos

Osteria La Buca in Sherman Oaks is absolutely amazing. Having previously visited their LA location, I believe they're part of the same family. The food, particularly the shrimp dish which I'll share photos of, was outstanding. Despite the restaurant not being too busy, they welcomed us to stay and chat for as long as we liked, and we left them a generous tip. Honestly, I recommend every single meal—they're that good. For a fantastic place to catch up with family or friends, I highly suggest Osteria La Buca.
