Can't speak to the food, only had drinks:Great cocktails and Beer selection. A friend and I tried 5 out of the 10ish custom cocktails they offer and 4 of them were outstanding! The other one was super gin heavy but we ended up finishing it anyways, still good. Sad to hear that this place is shutting down, atmosphere was good and the arcade games were fun. We ended up closing the bar down and they let us stay a little later as my friend was still finishing up a high scoring gaming session (only like 5 mins but it was great that they didn't force us out). This place will be missed!Definitely check it out before it's closed in mid-February!!

I was craving sangria but they didn’t have it on the menu. Bartender made one for me. It was amazing. I’m really easy to please. Oh- the buffalo tots are everything.

I had my birthday here, it was wonderful. The reservation system was easy and they confirmed with us before the date. The drinks are amazing (fav was the Yippee Ki Yay MotherF@#%er, very smoky) and the food delicious (Cap’n Crunch Wings every time, baby). The staff is very down to earth and friendly. The cabinet games are free, they’re simpler than some other barcade games, but it’s still super fun. The 80s films on the tvs and the lighting make this one of my favorite atmospheres in LA.Parking: Watch signs closely! The restrictions change from block to block. When I’m doubt, head south towards the hill. You’ll have to walk a long couple of blocks through the restricted residential area, but there are streets with no restrictions back there.

I’m a neighbor of this bar, and i used to go a lot because I wanted it to succeed…. but i haven’t gone for a while, because most of the machines are broken and the ones that aren’t are super duper outdated- like, pac-man outdated, other than 2 machines. I would def love to go here again with my friends if they fixed their cabinets and maybe got in some newer emulation cabinets with games made in the last 20 years. it’s a shame, too! the bartenders are lovely and so are the drinks, but for a barcade it’s really lacking

Happy Hour prices you can't beat and it's the perfect time of the day (6-8pm) to get a drink. However, I was unimpressed. The games were old, broken, and didn't look like they have been well taken care of over time. You have to go to the bar to order everything as there were 1-2 staff there for service. We ordered the: naked wings, mac n cheese, salad, tots, fries, and pretzel. The best was the pretzel. They do have a good selection of beers on tap and cans/bottles which was a highlight.

Free games for customers and happy hour every day 6-8? Yes please!! My fiancé and I have been wanting to try this place for years and tonight we finally got to try The One Up. We loved the atmosphere and was impressed by the food quality. We ordered the French Dip Sandwich, Grilled Cheese, Parmesan Fries and a few drinks. Delicious, not too oily, decently priced. Will be coming back with friends and an even larger appetite.

So we stopped in here after eating at another nearby place because it had arcade games. No pinball. It was not busy at all and well the service was not to good. It took a bit to get a drink. But that was okay because we just wanted to play some arcade games anyway. Well the games are free and basically it is a game that has multiple games in one. Which is fine but most of the games just did not work very well. Joysticks not working , buttons sticking and so on. So that was sad but they are free. We did not have any food or see any come out so no comments on that. Probably a good little place to hang for a bit with friends but with so many great places on the street doubt we will go back

Came here last night with a group of about 10 people. I brought a cake from my job to celebrate. Bartender was incredibly rude about the fact that I brought my own food. Said he was gonna charge me for bringing my own food. Even after we bought and paid for drinks and food at their establishment. Definitely won't be back.

My hubby and I were in the area because we wanted to check out the Woodman bar (just a minute away). After we discovered that they don't serve Scrimshaw beer at the Woodman, we noticed this place. The One Up is a cool bar with a relaxed atmosphere. Lovely spot to bring your friends to grab some drinks and play FREE arcade games.Nice bartender. Plenty of space, chairs, and tables.

This is my place to come in and enjoy the drink and have a quick delicious meal with. I’m a regular and will always come as long as it stays open. Staff are great and willing to go beyond their service and food is great that grill cheese is a must try!!!. The atmosphere is great those free games and some old school movies playing. Keep it up guys ?
