I legit come to the Woodman from the westside for Rob the bartender. He can make a phenomenal classic daiquiri--none of that blender nonsense--and anything else you can possibly ask of him. He's a whiz at non-alcoholic approximations too, making my sober friends and lovers feel just as welcome.

Since I've been coming to the Woodman for a year now, Rob has made me feel like a regular. Whether on a hot date or out with the girls, he always takes care of me.

Besides the drinks, this dive actually has decent pub grub! I love pretty much all the sliders but the potato skins are a guilty pleasure. I tell myself the chicken quesadilla is nominally healthier 'cause it's served with vegetables. The coconut shrimp isn't around all the time but when it is I absolutely must have it!

The music can be a bit loud, but find a dark corner to lean in or a table out on the patio to hear your companions.

I usually go for happy hour. It’s cool. Nothing special. I would recommend it because it’s a local, chill place to converse over food, drinks, music, and sports.

My friend and I came to the Woodman in Sherman Oak on Ventura. I felt like I was part of the family there. I felt so welcome and I had a good time. The Woodman had a lot of good vibes! Enjoy the moment and make memorable memories.

Summary of the lengthy review:
Food : not recommended
Price : OVERPRICED (check your bill)
Vibes : pretty decent
Came here to write a review and WOW … the owner really thought clapping back at people who are validly sharing their experiences is “quirky”. If I had seen this sooner I would have avoided this place.
We went last night to celebrate a birthday and I left with a food poisoning. I have been there once a few years ago and the food was ok back then but this time we got wings, the sliders , potato skins, potato wedges (didnt look anything like the wedges) and “japanese whiskey” (thats what they claimed)
The food was very bad … everything tasted reheated and like the fridge. Since the owner likes to respond and probably ask why I didn’t send it back , well I didn’t order. I was there with other people and they ordered everything including my drink. If I had gone by myself I would have definitely left after the first dish. I only has one drink , and that was “Japanese” whiskey. The only japanese thing about it was the hefty price tag. The taste was similar to the dollar tree hand sanitizer.
The shocking factor : 3 drinks and those plates mentioned above (with teeny tiny portions) came out to $300. 😳
The vibes are actually ok, except for the fact that some guy was trying to break down the womens bathroom door while I was in there (he kept hitting the door despite me yelling that it’s occupied).
Would I be back here ? Personally no. And if by any reason I do somehow end up back here , I will not be getting anything.

Angelino and Rob were amazing! Super attentive, fast, and friendly. Angelino made some of the best cocktails I’ve had—great recommendations and smooth execution. Rob kept the vibe fun and service quick, even during the rush.

I feel like I got catfished on grubhub by this place. It was actually crazy, look at the pics.

Maybe the worst food delivery experience I've ever had. See the pictures--screenshot of the Grubhub burger preview, vs the actual. Crazy. Also this shitty burger was 20 bucks.

The girl Who was working on 6/26 at the bar at night provided deplorable service. I stood at the bar waiting for her to cash out and drop off checks for about 5 minutes before she finally acknowledged me, I waited an additional 5 minutes before she helped me get a drink. I would have appreciated some sort of acknowledgment sooner letting me know that she would Be able to help me. After that she just took my money and didn’t bring back any change. I’m sorry but who assumes that im going to pay $50 for a single canned truly. Will probably never come back here shame is I live and work in the neighborhood. And often go for happy hour with coworkers after work. I feel as though that girl just saw me a a giant dollar sign walking around rather than a patron creating memories with my friends.

This place has great food, and great service. My only gripe is it's categorized as a sports bar and although it does have big screens all over the place, they will not turn the 90s rock music down for a Dodger game. Or any Game for that matter, so I wouldn't go there again to watch a game.

Stopped in late on a Monday after a movie for $5 burger night. We were greeted and told there was no server on so we had to order at the bar ( not a criticism, just an observation). Food ( burgers, fries and desserts)was delicious, music was great, several baseball games were on and there were games on the tables. We had Giant Uno on our table. Great time with good friends!

I had a very bad experience at Woodman Bar on december 21 and I decided to write a review about it. Unfortunately, the manager/owner of this bar is someone who doesn’t care about customers. He responded to me in a very unprofessional manner instead of checking the CAMERA.

When I came to this bar, the person putting on wristbands for guests was putting one on me (it took him at least 20 seconds to do it) while simultaneously unfastening my Cartier bracelet (which has specific mechanism that prevents it from accidental opening). Luckily the bracelet landed on my foot and i have noticed it missing.

Where rustic vibes meet craft cocktails and decent pub fare. The patio’s a highlight, but the inside gets loud enough to compete with your conversation. Service is friendly, but don’t expect speed. The fries pair well with everything.
