A friend and I were just looking for a quiet place to grab a coffee and came across this café on a Sunday afternoon.

We ended up having breakfast, as the menu looked incredible. We split an omelet and salad, and they were delicious!!

I'm not Jewish myself, and did feel a bit out of place, but the service was so friendly and the food was so good, that I can see why this is such a gem for the local community.

I recently visited Toast Café and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the toast was absolutely delicious, especially the gourmet avocado variety. The service was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return!

One of the best meals I had in LA. Really good meal. Monster Omelet is well worth what before I got my food seemed a little pricey. Highly recommend.

The TOAST CAFE is a compact, Mediterranean style, kosher, restaurant that serves vegan, Gluten-Free, and conventional meals. The eatery has a few tables inside and many more on the protected patio.

The staff is knowledgeable and anxious to please.

The Middle Eastern style entrees, are fresh, mildly spiced, and quite large. Their coffee is strong.

I ordered the vegan Shawarma Wrap, which includes Impossible ground beef, onions, cabbage, red peppers,
hummus and tahini. Accompanying the wrap is a cup of Israeli salad containing tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, onions, parsley, olive oil, and lemon juice. The generous serving was mild and delicious.

This was the first time two of our guests had eaten kosher Israeli food. They loved it and took the leftovers home.

One of our party had a birthday. At the spur of the moment, the server was able to provide a slice of kitchen decorated cheese cake and a candle.

STUFF: Toast Cafe has been open since 2012. A restroom is located outside, and is entered at the rear of the building. Everything is ADA compatible. The free parking lot is difficult to access especially in a wheelchair.

Vegetarian options: Excellent Middle Eastern menu.

Dietary restrictions: The chef will modify the recipes, whenever possible, to meet your dietary requirements.

Parking: Give or take 10 spaces.

Kid-friendliness: The recipes are mild.

Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is ADA compatible. However, the parking lot is at the top of a short incline.

Had the continental breakfast. I was dubious about ordering it in the first place but it was the special and I figured they must stand by the “House Tapas” it comes with. Come to find, the “tapas” consists of 2 Tbsp each of: tuna salad, guacamole, cream cheese, strawberry jelly, butter in packets, and some other forgettable dollop. It was like they sourced it from the lobby of a 2-star hotel. It honestly felt like a prank when they brought the dish. To be fair, the bagel wasn’t bad and the server was nice.

Went there to eat and I had an ice coffee in my hand and the lady would not let us eat there because we had an outside drink. I have never heard such a thing. You don’t know if that was mixed with my vitamins or not. Well you just lost 2 customers we went down the street to Marmalade and they welcomed us in and we ordered more drinks with them.
