Great variety of food selections . Friendly staff! Delicious food! Have only tried the grilled salmon entree so far and loved the Japanese coleslaw as well as the grilled onions included.

I love Umigame! My husband and I come here every week and love the food AND staff. Everyone is so friendly; we're starting to feel like part of the Umigame family.

The sushi was amazing. I highly recommend the lobster tempura roll. Omg! The spicy tuna on rice cake was also excellent. Yum!

It was very clean inside, which I liked. However, when we first walked in, it was very awkward because there's nobody there to greet you so you just kinda stand there waiting for someone to acknowledge you, it made me uncomfortable. The server was nice but she got really random things that I ordered wrong, it didn't complain to her or anything but it did confuse me a lot. As for the food, I liked the sashimis but nothing else

Great food and service. Pricing is good and fair. Highly recommended. The sushi and ramen dishes are well prepared and delicious

We came here on a whim, after finding The Daily Outpost mysteriously closed on a Friday evening. Umigame is so good! Everything, from the poke bowl, salmon teriyaki, brussels sprouts, and edamame, were perfect! High quality food beautifully prepared. Very good service also. We will definitely be back.

The food is top shelf. I come once a week and always try something new. I'm never disappointed. The noodles are delicious.

PSA to any young family especially Latino People. Stay away. Horrible Service. I should have known it was going to be bad once they sat us in the very front, away from everything ,where all the flies would gather at. The lady who served us, this old angry Asian lady was rude the whole time, and looked at us like if we were lost and didn't know what we were ordering. Never came around to offer refills but had no issue helping an older white man and Asian lady infront of us and another party of 6 around the corner from us, but stayed away from our table... crazy. The food tho, was ehhh ALRIGHT. Miso soup was pretty good I ain't going to lie. But the sushi, that ishh was horrible. I didn't get a tummy ache so the food had to have been stored properly. Of course when we were ready to pay, the short miserable lady was super friendly and fake, go figure. I always tip 18% from my check but I had to make it 8% due to that lady ruining the vibe for our first time. WE DEFINITELY WONT BE COMING BACK, definitely going to tell all my people at UPS to stay away from this trash place.

Okay this place is actually really good. It's kind of a hidden gem. Everytime I go here it's packed. It's not very fancy but the food is definitely worth it. Poke bowl Is my fave!

Moved to the neighborhood and needed a ramen place. Read the reviews for the black tonkatsu ramen and ordered it during an LA downpour. Had to practically wade to the curb to pick it up. Well, it was amazing. Not just delicious but I like the way the to-go order is packed (the ramen noodles in a basket on top of the broth). Just perfect. Got extra chashu and it was almost too much (but not really). Also love their poke bowls, brussels sprouts, the few sushi items I've had, teriyaki, and even their basic house salad is fresh and good. Nice waitstaff. I order from here or stop in once a week since we moved to Sherman Oaks. An instant neighborhood regular.

The Steamed Edamame was absolutely fantastic, seasoned and flavorable. Our server offered us specials and Happy hour menus items. This was first time coming in and definitely want to keep on my list of local great spots.

I have a high standard for ramen as I am from Japan and I haven't found any good ramen in the valley but this place's ramen was actually good! The broth had deep flavor and they used the right noodle and cooked perfectly too! My husband ordered ramen while I ordered salmon poke bowl. Both were very good but as for the poke bowl, the amount of rice was small for the amount of fish and crab they gave me. Service was great. The waitress was nice and when we ask for to-go box, she packed them for us.

I selfishly want to gate keep this place , but it deserves a 5 star review. Not fine dining, but it is the perfect neighborhood spot. Consistently good with high quality fish. I have been dining here a few times a month for the past few months. Best neighborhood sushi

Umigame just gets better and better. Their ramen is always consistent, and no matter how I change up the standard order, they never get it wrong (whether dine-in or take out). My personal favorite is spicy veggie with an egg. They also happen to have the best spicy tuna with crispy rice in town - better than most of the nearby sushi restaurants (the rice is perfectly crisped). I am a big fan of their spicy garlic edamame and brussel sprouts appetizers. It has not become my go-to for sushi, but lots of folks get sushi there. Also, they have the nicest and best service!
