Food was amazing!!! Boris and Sofia are wonderful owners and make the dining experience truly wonderful
Great restaurant, food & service.
First time here and we loved it. The throwback steakhouse vibe stays close to its roots and provides a really nice atmosphere. We were looking to go casual and had the Wagyu burger and it was phenomenal. Mix in great cocktails, friendly and efficient service and a strong dessert menu and this gets an easy 5 starts. As a staple in the valley for over 75 years, it shows they’re obviously doing a lot of things right. If you’re anywhere near The Valley Inn, do yourself a favor and get in there ASAP!
Thought about eating here, but wouldnt even let me use the restroom as an uber driver that dropped their customers off. Im really sick of businesses that act like we dont bring business to them with our dropoffs. At least let us use the restroom if we bring money to your facility whether its us or the people we dropoff.
Excellent. 10/10 will definitely return. Rib eye and prime rib...and the carrot cake!! The bartender is very talented 🔥
If you love an old school steakhouse, this one has a long history in the San Fernando Valley along with great food and an excellent bartender, that never disappoints. It’s my neighborhood favorite place to go. Try the fried chicken, filet mignon or prime rib—don’t forget to grab a martini. The lemon-blueberry martini is a perfect way to start your visit. It can get busy so, I recommend making a reservation.
Food was ok. Chicken portion larger than average and price in the mid $30's. Salad is a few dollars, and blue cheese dressing good, but the lettuce is knife cut into very small pieces- almost appears like they are trying to make a couple of lettuce leaves cover the plate. No bread served. Although they advertise themselves as a martini bar, the martini glasses are on the small side. The server was extremely pushy trying to get our order before we even ordered any drinks. Two of us wanted the chicken (which takes 40 min) but the other 2 hadn't yet seen the menu, but she walked away with 1/2 our table's order. 10 minutes later she wound up having to add the other 1/2 of our order . Not exactly a good way to start the evening. Then, the potato's came cold after waiting 55 minutes for our dinner. Street parking.
This restaurant has really gone down hill. We will not return. Food was cold. Some had to be returned. Server was rude. $$$ for what was served
Valley Inn and Martini Bar - New Year's Eve Celebration I had the pleasure of celebrating New Year's Eve at Valley Inn and Martini Bar, and it was a delightful experience overall. The food was outstanding, with each dish crafted to perfection. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made the evening even more enjoyable. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. While I gave the value a good rating instead of excellent due to the limited menu selections and higher prices for the holiday, the quality of the food and service made it worthwhile. The noise level was moderate, which is understandable given the festive occasion. One area that could use improvement is the parking situation. The tent still erected in the street since COVID blocks numerous parking spaces, making it difficult for patrons with mobility issues. I addressed this to the staff and was puzzled to learn they actually want to make this permanent! No one uses this outdoor area, and it's filled with a disarray of items making it look unsightly for such a historical restaurant. Despite this, I highly recommend Valley Inn and Martini Bar for a special night out. The food, service, and ambiance are top-notch, and it's a great place to celebrate any occasion.
Old school steakhouse vibes. Smart casual or dress up for a retro formal not fussy experience, done casually with family familiarity. Food was all excellent - again not fancy or fussy presentation, just good food on a plate. Owners Sophia & Boris set a “everyone is friends” neighborhood vibe, and deliver a lovely experience with warmth and a solid meal. Great for family dinners. Recommend!

One of the biggest hidden gems in town. There's a reason why this restaurant has survived and been around this long. Stop what you're doing and make a reservation and go immediately.

Phenomenal customer service. I wanted to surprise my daughter and buy her dinner. I am in Tucson; my daughter traveled to California. Sophia made it possible. This was over and above. My daughter enjoyed her birthday meal; Sophia and staff made this an experience to remember. Sophia stayed in contact with me through the experience and, though I could not be there, made me feel as though I was. It is no surprise that you have been around for so long. Difficult today to find a place that still believes in an old school dining experience. Thank you for what you do and continued success in the future.
