Went for happy hour, food was great but wouldn't say it was a good deal at $50pp. Pretty pricey for happy hour (nice pour on the wine though), but will still be coming again.

It’s like they trained these people to be as horrible as possible In customer service. Went in starving And the second I walked in I could just feel the negative energy. I’m standing at the hostess table. No one even notices me then the guy comes over and was rude and mean and made me feel very unwelcome. What a rude pretentious, stuffy atmosphere for a tiny little place That nobody is smiling or being nice. They seemed annoyed that they had to work. It was one of those vibes so I basically walked out, went next-door and had a very nice relaxing meal. Stay away from this mean place!!

Great dinner for Valentine's Day 2025. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant again. Duck breast with mushroom risotto was amazing.

From the beginning, the hostess was very kind and attentive. The food was amazing. My husband isn't a fan of key lime pie but it was recommended by our waiter and we loved it!

Great spot on Sherman Oaks, upscale and great variety of items on the menu. Great place for a casual date or grabbing a drink with friends. Highly recommend checking it out.

Went to have a chill evening with a friend.
The Bartender (Linda, I think her name is) was extremely rude and dismissive.
The food leaves much to be desired.
And the prices are too high.
They add so much salt to the food, it was pretty much unpalatable…the squid was okay, being the only thing that tasted decent…it was a bit chewy though.
Honestly, there are so many better choices in the area.
I say: SKIP Wood and Water.
Not worth it.

(Also, as a side note, the customers were treating the place like a Sports Bar- beyond loud, screaming…simply gauche.)

I saw this place a few times walking down Ventura but I never got a chance to dine in. The place is fantastic. The drinks are well thought out and the food is next level. Flavors and presentation are on point. Definitely a new date night spot I will bring my fiance back to in the future.

I just made a last minute reservation to this restaurant to meet a friend that I haven’t seen for 30 years . We were greeted warmly and with friendly smile . The food salmon and sea bass was very delicious and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming not too loud so we had a great conversations. The waiter was very attentive and very pleasant It was a great evening and even the valet attendances asked us how our evening was . This was truly an amazing experience and I would definitely be back .

Cool, calm, and cozy atmosphere. Bar seating and TVs available but doesn’t detract from those that desire a more intimate experience. Diverse menu. For an appetizer I tried Crispy Lobster Sliders and the Black Squid Ink Calamari. Both were crispy and flavorful. For my entree I had the Oven Roasted Seafood. It was packed with flavor (muscles, shrimp, calamari, garlic noodles, tomato base), was a bit on the salty side but had a decent spice level. My friend tried the Pork Chop which could have used more flavor ??‍♀️. Mashed potatoes were cool. When I return, I’m definitely getting the sliders!

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Good service, unusual menu, which is very much to my taste. It is very hard to find parking on the street, but valet parking is right upfront. Recommended.

We always love Wood & Water. This visit was special - it was my wife's birthday.

Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic!

The next day my wife said it was one of her best Birthday celebrations!!

Thank you Wood & Water!!

Kid-friendliness: It's sort of kid friendly - we always take our toddler with us. They really need to install changing stations.

Came here specifically for rack of lamb today. A waiter (a Russian speaking lady) asked me how I like it to be done. I was surprised because it’s usually a question about steak. I’ve never been asked before how I’d like my rack of lamb, assuming that it will be juicy with rosy meat in the center. Anyways, I clarified that I prefer it medium well for a steak, so probably the same is true for the rack of lamb.
It was a beautifully served dish but extremely dry, very well done, hard to swallow meat. I was hungry but I still didn’t finish it, ordering something else afterwards.
The waiter did ask how was the food and I initiated a conversation sharing that it was very very overcooked and definitely not medium well. I shared it mostly because I had been asked how I like it and received something I definitely didn’t want.
And here is why such a low review: instead of something like “oh I’m sorry, I don’t know how it happened “, I’ve heard that this is exactly how medium well should be, and if I want it with rosy center, it should be medium then. After this point I realized that it was pointless to continue the conversation.
First, she hasn’t even tried to look at the meat and see clearly that it’s extremely overcooked.
Second. She was trying to convince me that it’s my choice with medium well option was wrong.
It made me very frustrated, still leaving more than generous tip.

The rest of the food was amazing, so I’ll definitely be back, but would love to be served by a different person .
