Went here on a whim! Nice place, lots of seating, pleasant staff :) I got a vanilla lavender latte. The staff uses a la marzocco, would love to ask where they source their beans next time I go. The merchandise is nice, lot of coffee equipment

Incredible Coffee Shop in the beautiful town of Sierra Madre. If you are in the Pasadena/San Gabriel region, this coffee shop is a must visit.Aaron knows his coffee and is connected to many of the specialty roasters. They do an incredible pour over and have an excellently curated rotating selection. When I heard they carry El Paraiso (one of the best coffee's IMHO), I was sold. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, and you could tell they take their coffee culture seriously.I had an excellent full bodied brew of La Papaya Typical from Ecuador, a washed coffee.Tip: If you purchase a bag of coffee beans, you get free cold brew or drip coffee.

The coffee was fine, but the atmosphere was lacking. I like places that feel cozy, for the chairs to be comfy, for the walls to be decorated full of pictures. This place feels a little sterile. We really like this location and were looking for a café to regularly visit, but this one didn’t feel like it was going to be it.

Ok coffee. This place was a little to industrial for me. Price was ok. Atmosphere could be improved

Came here because I was in the area and saw that they had a lavender matcha latte and I just had to try it! I don't come to this area often, and to be honest it looks like there aren't many places around that are like this in this area!Their lavender matcha was pretty nice! It tastes decently balanced, but pretty solid for what it is! It's a pretty spacious cafe if people want to come here and do some work, or even chill! But atmosphere wise, I think it's more for people to just sit down to read or work in my opinion (but I could be wrong).Service was pretty quick with my drink, but I did come at a slower time! They were really friendly though! There are not too many parking spaces around here, but there are a few in front and other spots as well nearby! It's not as bad as Pasadena because there's at least some parking!

I. Love. Their. Expresso. Tonic!!!! My friend introduced me to this place and I'm obsessed with their expresso tonic. It's such a perfect drink for a hot summer day. The surrounding area here has such a small town vibe it's quite relaxing. Tried their breakfast sandwich which was not bad. Service was good. I'd come back again if I were in the area!

Simple, delicious little coffee shop in adorable Sierra Madre. I was long overdue for a visit - been hearing about it for ages. Thanks so much to Yelp coffee aficionado @SamB for showing me yet another awesome spot! I wanted to get a cappuccino for National Cappuccino Day - haven't had one in ages - and theirs was one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had. Basic, smooth, and full of flavor with a perfect amount of milk and lovely design on top. Staff were friendly and helpful. The menu is small but has some interesting items and drink flavors - their seasonal Strawberry Latte will be my choice on my next visit! And the had a lot of delectable looking items in their pastry case too! Prices are very reasonable and the vibe is quite, down to earth, simple chic with great views of the San Gabriel mountains. It's a little further up the main downtown area but it's nice bc it's a little quieter. Parking is mostly street parking and ample. I really enjoyed my experience and look forward to my next visit!

Me and mt boyfriend been coming here for over a year now (every single day lol) as we live a block away. The coffee has always been so good, but lately, with all the new hires... I have reason to believe the newbies are not making it good or are burning it someone how :( the coffee taste went down with the americanos ever since the new hires came in. Hopefully they get it down soon, only leaving this review in hopes someone will see and it'll help me get my good coffee back lol

Iced oat latte was pretty good. My sister really liked her London fog! Loved the layout of the coffee shop and it was good to see many people working on their individual projects on their laptops.

Came in for a quick cup of coffee and pastry pit-stop on a morning walk with my dog and baby. The staff was incredibly friendly— even offering my dog a treat while we waited! My coffee was balanced and the assortment of pastries are unique and rotate daily. I definitely recommend coming by- I know I will be back!

i'm not going to lie to you as the main reason we visited this coffee shop was because of the name because i thought it was pretty funny. the barista was kind while taking our order and he suggested the iced strawberry latte which we asked for a little less sweet and it's a good thing we did. it tasted really good and the small chunks of the strawberries really added to it as a whole. we visited on a saturday morning and there were a ton of cyclists piling in to the shop as soon as we walked outside which seemed like a cool hang out for them. i'm not sure if the parking behind the building is for this business or not as we didn't read the signs but we parked across the street because we were unsure.

If I had to describe this place in a phrase, it'd be: coffee first, customers second. By default they only have one coffee size, 12 oz., for both hot and cold drinks (though it looks like you can explicitly ask for a different size, but the menu does not reflect that). Drip/batch brew is $4, cold brew is $5.50, espresso is $4, and lattes/coffee drinks range from $5.50-6.75. I don't know what the coffee prices are like around this area, and I'm from out of town (Seattle), but these are among the most expensive coffee prices I've seen outside of Las Vegas. However, I'd be lying if I said their coffee wasn't good. If you like light roast, third wave, and artisan-type coffees, you'll like this place. The drip brew today was a bright and flavorful washed Mexican coffee, well extracted with no hint of astringency. They have different coffees on rotation for pourover (which is priced at "market price"), but today it was one of their small batch coffees roasted by a local friend. This is one of the only places I've seen that sell bags of Gesha coffee in-store (usually I only find these online because of rarity). They had coffees from 3 different roasters at their store for sale at this time. The bags ranged from $16-50 a bag (typically 12 oz. of whole beans), so I'd say there's something for everyone, especially if you're looking to pick up something interesting. I really liked the El Paraiso Peach they had from Insomnia Coffee Lab ($33 for 12 oz.). They offer a free cup of drip or cold brew coffee with a purchase of a bag.Drinks: their seasonal strawberry latte is really good. Not too sweet, but kind of tastes like cereal milk after eating cereal with dried strawberries in it (in a good way - I recommend it if you're looking for something different!). See earlier for my notes on the drip coffee. They didn't offer the coffee with a sleeve on it and it was piping hot, so it was a bit uncomfortable to hold (though they probably would have given me one had I asked). Interestingly, they poured the coffee in an unlabeled, generic cup instead of one with a stamp or any other indication of this shop like many other stores do.Miscellaneous: the baristas were friendly and the service was fairly quick. There are about 6 small tables that could seat 2 people each and a bench area. There was a dog there, so it looks like it's a dog friendly place. The place is fairly modern with little clutter and reasonable music volume, so it might be a good, distraction-free place to work. However, there is a Starbucks and 3 other bakeries in the local area that serve coffee as well, if this place isn't your style.

Coffee.jpg is everything you want in a neighborhood, work-friendly, coffee shop. Staff is kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. There was a steady flow of people (and dogs hehe) coming in so they definitely appear to be a solid establishment.Drinks: 5*Good portion on the iced drinks and nice drinkware if you order in. I've been here twice and tried their moonlight matcha (regular menu) and London Fog (seasonal) with oat milk. I haven't actually tried the coffee since I like to try specialty drinks when I visit a new shop, but it looks like they have an interesting selection of beans. I'll be sure to try their coffee next time!Ambiance: 5*The shop is spacious and there are plenty of tables (mostly inside but a few outside) and outlets. Wifi is fast and reliable. They do play music but I didn't find it to be distracting (I usually bring headphones wherever I go though). The shop does fill up and people tend to stay a while, so it would probably be helpful to come earlier to get a good seat. They also have a bathroom available for guests.Price: 4*Typical LA coffee prices for specialty drinks ($6-7). Alternative milk is +$1.Parking: FreeI personally didn't find parking too difficult although there was some construction going on. There is unlimited street parking outside the shop but it is shared with the neighboring stores. This is definitely a plus compared to coffee shops in Pasadena (and part of the reason I would prefer to come to Sierra Madre). There is also neighborhood parking nearby.Overall: 5*Great coffee shop to visit around SGV if you are looking for solid drinks, nice staff, and a productive place to work.
