Lemon Zest is a modest little restaurant with terrific food. It features many traditional but adds touches of its own. The overall effect is unique and tasty.

Came here for a late lunch. Service was prompt. We had the falafel side, chipotle chicken wrap, and gyro lamb plate. Everything was delicious! The portions were large and plenty of meat and veggies, so it feels healthy. Would definitely go back.

No lemon sorbet or bars and the falafels I did order took a long while for no one else being in the place.

My boyfriend and I visited this place for the first time. The lamb kabob my boyfriend ordered was extremely undercooked and the teriyaki chicken kabob I ordered was not the best either. The service was inefficient and they were not even busy. Our server replaced the lamb kabob with a teriyaki chicken kabob which took about 20 minutes. She was quite unapologetic about the situation as well. The only thing good about this place is the atmosphere. We were extremely dissatisfied with the food and the service.

They give huge portions. It seemed the food was never going to stop. The flavors of each dish were so delicious.

When the food finally came, it wasn't too bad. A cute place but most of the tables are occupied by people waiting for takeout. Maybe this is just the new reality... Labor shortages!?!

When I came back to San Marino to visit a few old high school friends, my friends took me to this cute restaurant in Sierra Madre, featuring Mediterranean food. The ambiance is amazing, especially with the outdoor seating on a sunny Southern California day. You cannot ask for anything better than the gentle breeze in warm sunlight. While the food portion is amazingly large, I have to say that I have tasted much better Mediterranean food (like one I posted in Santa Rosa, CA). Mostly, the spice is a bit bland, and the meat can be slightly overcooked (especially the lamb). The steak was quite delicious, however. Overall though, this is a good quick lunch choice for those visiting Sierra Madre.

I live in Orange County, 50 miles away and am obsessed with their greek salad. I have a hard time finding good Greek dressing here but Lemon Zest has nailed it! I was out that way today to pick up some homemade lasagna my friend made for us and I had to stop by. They went above and beyond and their customer service is amazing. I wish they'd consider opening one near me! You have to check it out! It's also super cute and I love all the bright yellow that just makes me feel happy.

Lemon Zest is a casual restaurant for Mediterranean fare, offering a menu of kabobs, gyros, wraps, and mezzes. The Sour Chicken Kabob (Kabob Torsh) had a bit of a Persian spin and was made of juicy chunks of chicken in a marinade of pomegranate molasses and walnuts, giving the kebabs a sweet and sour flavor. The Veggie Plate came with small crispy falafel balls, grilled vegetables (onions, bell peppers, zucchini, yellow squash), hummus, and an eggplant dip. Both plates came with thin pita bread and a Greek salad made of lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onions, and olives, all topped with oregano and feta cheese. Everything we had here was flavorful, fresh, healthy, and delicious, though the menu prices were definitely on the high side.

Chicken pita was great! ! Nice place right next to the the Buccaneer . The young woman working there to take your order isn't exactly dripping with personality...But a great little place!

This is a great spot to stop in for a delicious meal. The food is super yum. The environment is a drop in and eat place. I would not go here for the service at all.It is also very pricey for a local spot.I would go again if in the area for sure based on food taste.

I ordered the Salmon Kabob with hummus and Shirazi salad and the food tasted a like it was days old. The rice was bland, the hummus didn’t have much flavor, the salad tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while and the salmon was too hard. Nothing tasted fresh and traditional. Perhaps the pita bread was the only thing i liked. I advise you try a Pita Cafe joint instead, their food tastes more original and has lots of flavor. It was too expensive for what it was. Not coming back here unfortunately.

Had a poor and unethical experience. Gave management a chance to make it right and they failed again. Suspending giving any further business. Everything else about this place is great. Would love to return again someday.
