The worst americano coffee I tried in my life. More watered down than your basic drip, zero flavor, completely translucent. Definitely not coming back.

🤌 Easily the best coffee bakery combo in the LA area. It’s hard to find a place that does everything right and maintains unique character without being a sterile, soulless LA coffee shop. Syndicate always has friendly (cool, yet somehow unpretentious) staff, amazing food, good tunes, and the intangible happy vibration that is missing from so many cold wifi laptop holes that most modern cafes have a tendency to become. Enjoy a cup looking on to the mountains of Sierra Madre high above the classic town square.

Me n my aunt went to this place after our walk. We both liked the bakery n the coffee. There is not too much seats. It gets packed. Idk the bakery names since there is no label. But people there is nice and the food looks good but we aren’t that hungry since we had late breakfast. The place looks nice too. It’s not like super quiet place. You can hear some noises. I see people study or read there. They have some lunch items besides beverages and bakeries.

This is one of those order at the register and pick up your order when ready. It amazes me that a place like this expects tips - when they do virtually nothing service wise.
Seating is sparse and uncomfortable outside on tiny benches with tiny tables.
The food is good, but was not hot enough.

If time and money are no object this is the coffee shop for you. The food was delicious, coffee, if made correctly, on point. My husband and I waited in line for 15 minutes and once we got the counter we waited another 15 minutes while the cashier had a small panic attack at being asked to espresso grind a $48 bag of beans. We then waited for four pastries and one latte for 38 minutes.
Everyone was very friendly but very new. The only person who seemed to know what was going on was the cook who had been given the smallest wok space and the gal rolling out scones who had her headphones on.
Based on other reviews I have to assume they are based on non peak hours and were getting basic items. This is the not the before work coffee shop. It’s a linger, chat, eat before you come if it’s a weekend. But everyone was very nice and it was tasty although the prices were somewhat alarming.

We really enjoy this coffee shop.
The two-star rating is not for the drinks but for the pork chile verde burrito we had. It was very salty which unfortunately led to the saltiness overtaking the other flavors of the burrito.
The barista/ cashier was very helpful with her suggestions for my drink. The mocha was great! If there was a drink rating option that would have come in high.

NO BATHROOM. Wifi keeps dropping. Half of their tea selection was sold out. I was told to go to Starbucks if I needed a restroom, and since I was hoping to knock out some work at a cafe between appointments in the area, for the first time in my life I wish I had gone to Starbucks instead of trying to support a small business. Good music, it smells like bacon, nice staff.

Pets not allowed even for takeout.
☕️🌯🥐🍪 I’ve been to Syndicate multiple times and will go out of my way to pop in. Their coffee options are great and I love that they have a “mood ring” choice that I’ve never seen anywhere else.
Their pastries are dangerously delicious too!
What puts this place over the edge for me is the customer service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ they are always so pleasant and just so welcoming and warm. I’ve interacted with many different staff members and ALL of them were great. Keep up the great work!!!

Fantastic drinks (we got a matcha with honey and an iced bolt, which is a sea salt caramel latte)!! my husband loved his breakfast burrito, but I wasn’t a huge fan. It was pretty heavy (eggs, cheese, hash) without any fresh ingredients like tomatoes to balance the greasier components. I’d return for coffee and because the service was friendly and warm, but not for a whole meal since prices are pretty high.

worst matcha ive ever had and was $9 🙎🏾🙎🏾😡the briwnie cookie was pretty good though
If you're looking for a great pull of espresso, you'll definitely want to stop by. Also tried a SO cold brew and it was great. For me, two things missing: 1) side of sparkling with my espresso and 2) more seating for people to chill and get some work done. But, that doesn't't stop them from making great coffee.
Very friendly and personable server (he's not a Scorpio, he just likes scorpions), coffee came very quickly, plenty of seating indoors (17 seats), including the very comfy living room-like padded armchair I was on, another 15 or so seats right outside, but 2 drawbacks: the coffee, their top listed Cafe Noir, although delicious, was barely warm; the Vegan Blueberry muffin, although delicious, was extremely crumbly and so I needed a napkin in my lap and should have used a spoon to eat it instead of having to repeatedly pick out the crumbs with my fingers. And some of it was inedible as the muffin paper was stuck to the muffin in a few places. (Guessing those 2 issues had to do with it being vegan so my rec is to avoid any of those).
