A special place i like to take my guests to because the food is good and the service is excellent!
We tried to go somewhere new. We'll after 15min nobody acknowledged us we walked out. You have one chance to make people feel welcome. Will never come back no matter how good the food is. No wonder you were not busy

This was my second time here... the first time was over 12 years ago, I had hoped that it would be a better outcome. Sadly it was not. That Avocado Toast (deep sigh) wasn't it for me, I had 3 bites of the Avocado (that I scraped from the bread) and left the rest. They use the heal of the bread for the toast and it's not toasted enough, the fig balsamic is thick and I just couldn't make myself eat it.
The corned beef hash has a nice flavor but I can't eat bell peppers so I ended up not eating that dish as well. My decaf coffee was delicious and the Zucchini Carrot bread was good too.
My daughter and son-in-law enjoyed their breakfast burritos. I believe my grandchildren liked their dishes too. Our server was a wee bit of a flat attitude... couldn't put my finger on it but there was something THERE.
I can assure you I will not be giving this place a 3rd try.

A long time friend and I have eaten here several times. The food is always great, service is good and Sierra Madre is a beautiful, small community in the San Gabriel foothills.

I’ve been eating here since 2000. I moved away and tonight just felt like dropping by for my usual steak dinner. $50.00 later, I should have just eaten what I had in the fridge. Disappointing. It’s not the first time I’ve been disappointed here, but I thought I’d give it another try. They’ve just changed over the past two years and it doesn't look like it’s heading back in the better direction. Too bad. Not too many places in Sierra Madre. This was a usual. Not anymore.

The ambience is great and so is the service. We had the omelette with vegetables, toast, coffee and a lovely zucchini bread.
The spread is large with sandwiches, salads and breakfast items.
I would definitely recommend a visit here.
Parking: There is public parking lot behind the place that is free for an hour or two

Didn’t even get to eat here because they stopped allowing dogs on their patio. For as dog friendly as Sierra Madre is and with how large this restaurant’s patio is, it seems a little ridiculous.
