Ali Baba Restaurant

I had a really great experience at Alibaba in Simi Valley. The rice was absolutely amazing — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The lamb shawarma was fresh, tender, juicy, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The portion was large and very satisfying.

The smothered rice was also delicious, and the overall plate had that comforting, home-style feeling. I even tried the pancakes, and to my surprise they were very nice — something I haven’t had in ages.

Service was friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience left a very positive impression on me.
Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be returning.

I ordered shawarma wrap
First, it’s not shawarma it’s feel like chicken breast on the grill
Second, it was too messy to eat They left it open wrap, and all thee tahini was leaking out of the sandwich.

My FAVORITE resturaunt, I don't even live in CA anymore but any time I fly into town I need to have some Ali Baba's. My go-to is the beef shawarma plate. I don't know how they do it, but no other resturaunt compares to their FLAVORS. Even their yellow rice is perfection.
The staff are always incredibly friendly. Simi is blessed to have this restaurant. Treat yourself to a baklava ❤️

This is a great choice for lunch. It group came in hungry and left satisfied. The prices and portions are good. My only disappointment was that they didn't have any sumac, which is love on rice and meat. The turmeric tea is a must. Delicious!

It is a mystery why this restaurant has a 4.6 rating with 700 reviews. The atmosphere nor the food was 4.6
To the owner, please continue to learn, grow, evaluate and innovate. I suspect your gregarious nature gives you good standing within the community, which is great. It may be the community doesn't want to leave more constructive reviews. Maybe with some fresh changes your business could go up substantially!?

Ali Baba Restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone who loves authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. The dishes are flavorful, freshly prepared, and served in generous portions. The lunch I had here was absolutely delicious—the kebabs were tender and juicy, the rice was aromatic and perfectly cooked, and the fresh salads and sides complemented everything beautifully.
The service is just as impressive as the food. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. They make you feel at home, and their genuine hospitality really enhances the dining experience.

Falafel plate. Grape leaves. Salmon kebab. Pickle plate. Skip the fries and get something different next time.

They have THE best humus I've ever had, and the fries on the menu are a must (try them and you'll thank me later). I've done take out and sit in at the restaurant. The food holds really well when it's take out and when I sit in, sometimes the service can be a little slow but they are busy with orders so it's understandable. The restaurant is always clean, and the staff is always friendly/welcoming. Parking is free and easy to access.
