By far one of my favorite restaurants, delicious food and great service. 10/10 recommend the beef schwarma, it's always my go to here.

I tried this restaurant based on the fact that I had been going to the Newbury Park location for years-and loved it! Warning: This is very different even though they have the same name. The food is not the same, I don't think even the recipes are the same. Can totally tell this place is trying to cut every corner they can from quality of food, (pita bread was not fresh, rice lacked flavor, small tablespoon of salad served). service, (only 1 front house and one cook, waited 25 minutes to take our order). Do yourself a favor go to the original restaurant in Newbury Park and bypass this 2nd location in Simi Valley.

On Easter Sunday after church my sister and another good friend were in the mood for Mediterranean food. We looked on Yelp and were happy to see beautiful reviews for Ali Baba Cafe. Let me tell you this restaurant did not disappoint on any level! A family atmosphere, with yummy aromas throughout we sat, were greeted my a joyful young man who was stellar in his service, getting us seated and started with water and tea. Then the waiter came and shared more about the menu favorites and the differences between certain dishes which was very helpful. The Hummus was amazing! Then each of the dishes we ordered two of ordered lamb dishes and one a beef dish, all were very delicious. The portions were plentiful! Then I ordered the most delectable baklava flaky and soaked in (honey I believe) but the most perfect balance. We will surely be back to this blessed restaurant. What a great first experience. Thank you to all those who served us with excellence from the seating to, taking our order to when we checked out and paid leaving out. Each person greeted us with joy. Thank you for the wonderful service and keep feeding families and providing joyful service!

I felt like I was having a home-cooked meal here! The staff is funny and down-to-earth, and they even recommended us a better deal (I believe it was a platter for 2 for about $20-$25!). So good!

Verry slow service. People seated after us were served before us. I ordered a salad, my wife ordered a sandwich. I hope it's good, as I go into diabetic shock from waiting sooooo long.

Ordered a sandwich. Cost $11, does not come with sauce or chips or fries. Overprice and not even good tasting.

Has some of the best hummus around. Every dish is delicious. Great seasoned burgers for the less adventurous, with amazing fries! Baklava is heavenly!

Great food, I usually get a lamb dish, although everything here is really good. Service is usually spot on. Not too interruptive and not too avoidant. Food usually comes out quick and is always delicious. The restaurant itself is basic, but who cares? Well, actually, they care! The owner regularly feeds people in need and is one of the most generous people you'll meet. Support this place and you support more than just the owners!

Let me start by saying that Omar(I think he is the owner) seems to be a great great guy from feeding the homeless and helping his city! Sooooooo amazing. I wanted to give it a 4 star review but I couldn't The rice in the grape leaves is soooooo mushed together (even thought the taste was good) so the texture was off The eggplant or babaganoush or whatever u call it is completely completely wrong. Taste is not right, texture is not right, and pieces of seeds or burned skin had to be spit out. Their steak kebab was cooked right.. their chicken kebab was cooked well Their chicken shawarma was more like ground chicken rather than off a shawarma machine and came with no garlic sauce?? How is that possible? The people who worked there were very very nice and attentive and that by itself is enough for me to go back there but added to Omar's philanthropy and quite a bit of things on the menu being good tasting, I definitely will go back. I hope they make small tweaks though to make them even better.

Very tasty. They are sweet and kind. I feel like their family owned, which always is a plus really tasty rice with the shawarma and falafel. For how long this place has been in business, they have kept the ambience in upkeep very well.
