A hidden gem in Simi Valley! Located just off the 118 freeway in a small business complex is Betos. Don't let the location fool you, as this is great food at a fair price! The short rib farfalle pasta dish is wonderful and tasty Paired with a nice Chianti and a Caesar salad, this place delivers on good prices and quality food.

One of the best restaurants in Simi Valley and friends from SFV come here just for this place. I love linguini and clams and so often in other places I've tried the clams are over cooked and feel like chewing rubber. Here they are delicious. Every dish that my husband and I have tried here has been good. We like the eggplant parmesan, all the seafood dishes, all the pastas that we have tried. We don't eat mammals, so I can't speak to the dishes with meat. The prices are very good, the service is excellent and the wine list has a great variety at reasonable prices for what you get. It is a nice, quiet setting without being stuffy or so quiet that you feel uncomfortable. It is homey and welcoming.

Best seafood cioppeno in the area! Calamari is really tender too, lightly breaded and not overcooked. I've always had good experiences here.

I am always searching for small local businesses that serve food in a unique environment. Walking into Beto's Italian Bistro in Simi Valley, takes you to a lovely restaurant with dim lighting, white table cloths and white napkins. A nice inviting ambiance. What came out first, was the complimentary bread. This was a disappointing start to a highly anticipated dinner date. If I had to compare it to breads at other dining destinations, this was the more than ordinary, and amongst the most uneventful. We observed before leaving, that the olive oil and balsamic vinegar bottles were on the table but hidden amongst the clutter. Generally, servers pour this for you, or draw your attention to it, so you can enjoy it with the bread (Yes, I have been to numerous Italian Restaurants). We started with the Fritto Misto ($16), which was supposed to contain fried calamari, shrimp and fish with a spicy marina and pesto aioli. The dish came out warm, uncrispy, with mainly calamari and little or no fish or shrimp. The Minestrone soup arrived lukewarm and had to be sent back for heating. After a few tastes that were acidic, it was permanently returned back to the kitchen (the $7 cost was still on the bill). For the four mains, there was one Shrimp Scampi, served over capellini pasta ($25). Shrimps were good size, less cheese would be better and more attention to flavor. One Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli with brown butter and sage sauce ($18). There is a sweetness to this item. Two Lobster Raviolis ($24 each) served in a lobster tarragon broth. The dish was good, tender raviolis, served hot, with a creamy and thick sauce, silky mouthfeel and texture. Undoubtedly, the best entree of the evening. Problem was that there was no hint, taste or presence of lobster (this occurrence at restaurants bugs me). Raviolis seemed potato filled, maybe that is how it was supposed to be. This dish, under another name, would be a hit. For dessert, the crème brulee. Service was prompt and attentive. Beto's has another location under the same name as a wine bar and bistro. Under the same umbrella, they also own Maria's Restaurant, a Mexican eatery, all of which are in Simi Valley.

Good, service and ambiance are wonderful. Service could not be better. Ambiance is quite nice, very quite and softly lite for an enjoyable evening. My wife and I have been there several times and have enjoyed each dish we had the pleasure of eating.

We LOVE the Monday night special. You can't beat a 3 course dinner with a bottle of wine included for $65! Fun time with friends. Lisa is an amazing server and hostess. She's attentive and remembers return patrons. The family owned establishment has a welcoming atmosphere like being in a friend's dining room.

Excellent food, good price, we enjoy dining there often. They have recently expanded very nice ambiance. Definitely a must try.My only problem with them is that their credit card reader, to pay the check, every time for some reason crews up my card and I have to have the card reinstated, not sure what the deal is.

We have been wanting to go to this place for SO long because we've heard amazing things about it. Finally, tonight, we did it. The atmosphere is very quiet, dark, and calm. It wasn't too busy when we went on a Monday night. We absolutely loved the food here. I had the eggplant parmigiana as recommended by the server and a glass of red wine, and my husband had the shrimp and scallop linguini. Both were exceptional! We also had the mozarella in carrozza, which was also uniquely good. The creme brulee is to die for. Overall, 10/10! Can't wait to be back!!

A beautiful distinguish place with exelent and tasty food. The house cavernet glass of wine was delicious. On the other hand, the customer services were much less than what i was expecting for the type of place we were in. At some point, i will say it was kind of rud from almost everyone how approach us.Im sure I'll give them another chance to change it to a five-star.

Was back in town for a few days and met some friends here at their suggestion. They remodeled, still a bit too dark, and they crammed even more tables in here. Can't hear your table mates, and just super crowded. Unfortunately, they didn't hire more servers, and ours went MIA. Kitchen was ridiculously backed up. Food is still a 3/5, and the prices are manageable. BUT, check your bill. We swapped mashed for roasted potatoes, and received a $3.50 up charge. We were not notified prior, and when the server was questioned, he said "it's on the menu." NO IT IS NOT! I called him out on it, then the manager came over and removed it. Don't over charge me, then lie about it!
