Dr. Conkey's Candy & Coffee

Love this small coffee shop. They have sugar free options. Very easy to customize your drink. Very friendly workers. Very unique small coffee and candy shop.

My drink is never consistent. Which is weird because the blender cup has line markings and then they use a scale. However, I usually go buy candy when getting a drink but this time I didn't so I stood and there and now I know why my drink is always hit or miss.

The two workers were chatting while working (great! make day go by faster), but the one making mine didn't even look at what she was doing, just at her coworker. She didn't give me a full shot of what I paid extra for. She grabbed the milk and just dumped without even looking. She looked for the weight of the ice cream but of course the amount of ice cream is going to depend on the weight of the milk already in the blender. Just dumping the milk and getting way too much meant less ice cream and my drink was very thin, then without my full flavor shot it was like I was just drinking slightly thicker milk.

Waste of $6 and I don't know why I keeping coming in crossing my fingers in hopes I get a good drink.

Dr. Conkey's is fun. So much more heart than most other coffee shops.

The thing that they really do well is flavored beans. In general, I prefer a single source estate bean: Guatemala, Ethiopian, something like that. I find flavored beans kind of flat and, ironically, flavorless. But whatever Dr. Conkey's does, whatever their process is, they pack in so much more flavor than any other coffee shop I have ever been to. If they claim the beans are strawberry flavored, you can bet you'll taste strawberry.

Beyond that, they have a great selection of candies, both packaged and homemade, sodas, barista-made drinks which change seasonally, and some knick knacks for the home.

Dr. Conkey's is an awesome spot for the community!

They make a great drink but the staff and owner are extremely rude with overall bad attitudes 🤷‍♂️

Feels old timey and it makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and wonderful. I highly recommend this place if you want some coffee or candy.
