I am pretty strict in Mexican food. Service was worth two stars. Great service very friendly. My wife ordered the taco salad it was unseasoned and a lot of food. Salsa helped the table salsa is good but it was needed to facilitate flavor. I ordered the chili verde burrito. Wow they had celery in it. First time I've had celery in Mexican food. Did not exude confidence in the prep of the dish. Again no flavor for real. It needed a lot of help. I wanted it to be good but needed something else to help.

Bad service if you sit inside. My parents tried to order more before happy hour was over and 30min went by before our waiter came back. And I had told 2 workers to please flag our waiter for us. Definitely won't be coming back when there's other places offering happy hour.

Really great Mexican spot. Our server Balta was amazing and helped adjust menu items to cater to our vegetarian needs. The portions were great and the food was really good.

The help is very efficient and helpful! A great way to start a meal. It has some terrific Mexican food of all types and combinations. It has been around for a long time, so they know what they are doing. You can order almost anything Mexican and it is served quickly and is delicious! We go about once a month and highly recommend it! One of Simi Valley's gems!!

Service was fine, the food and drink however, was absolutely horrible this weekend. Not sure what has happened with El Patio in Simi. My chicken taco came on a watery plate, making one side of the fried side of the taco soggy. I had to dump the excess water unto a plate. The chile relleno was awful, it was rather small and the outer egg batter was so dry/old, tasted like cardboard. Seems overcooked or leftover from day before. The margaritas a complete disappointment. Tasted only of mix and sweet and sour, no tequila....for $9.95! Don't think i will be going back.

They are frequently understaffed. The server that is working is amazing.

Honestly not the greatest, it was an awkward seating situation and the environment was very dead there wasn't even music playing. We did get to buy lovely flowers though!!! Probably best to find another Mexican spot, but this place was great for proximity and can seat large parties!

We decided to stop here for a drink and it was a good choice. The service was friendly and very welcoming. The chips and salsa were not my favorite; however the chili con queso was very good. Even though today is a chilly day we very much enjoyed the time here. We will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu especially in the summer time.

We ate on the charming dog-friendly patio with our little boy. Margaritas were spot on. Chips & salsa is addictive. While waiting for friends, I ordered the flautas. They could have them on the full meal menu - big portion and perfectly prepared. I ended up with a light dinner - but finished it because it was so good.
