I ate here twice and did not get sick. I’m on the fence about this place. If you don’t get sick, it’s a pretty good value with a lot of choices in food. I like their ice cream wheel with so many different choices.
I like to judge an Asian buffet by its bathroom. The bathroom in this establishment is an absolute disaster. It is never cleaned.
Their sushi really scares me. Both times I went here the tuna sashimi had a green film on it and it tasted off. I only tasted it and did not finish the rest. Then there was a fish I did not recognize in the sashimi section. I asked the man who worked in preparing it what fish that was and he told me “tilapia”. I was then shocked since tilapia is never eaten raw in any reputable restaurant. I’m surprised nobody has died from vibrio or how it hasn’t been shut down yet.
I would like to come back here if they ever clean things up. I do like the cooked food. I am just not convinced the sushi is safe to eat. Do not go here if you are pregnant.

This buffet is surprisingly decent, and makes me nostalgic for the Chinese buffets I grew up with in the Midwest.
First off, the whole place is shiny and clean. The chairs are white, they've got nothing to hide. The kitchen is visible and well kept.
The food is pretty enjoyable. From fried foods and stir fry staples, to varied shellfish and sushi options. Even the desserts keep the buffet tradition alive, right down to the weirdly firm red Jello.
The price was pretty reasonable. We went on a weekend, which is more expensive, but I think comes with better options.
For $25, you can absolutely easily get your money's worth in crab and sushi alone. Plus it's just fun to relive the magic of an eclectic buffet.

PARKING is in the back. ENTRANCE is facing the hotel.
The food was ok. I love seafood and for some reason, their dishes are sweet. Which is weird because it's supposed to be saltier so you can add lemon and balance it out.
Sushi bar was good though. Definitely the highlight here.
Fruit and desert - fruits were good. I tried the mint ice cream and usually I enjoy it. But this one tasted like straight up medicine. Sooo gross.

Terrible service! Not so much as a single smile, thank you, hello, you're welcome, or welcome to, from any member of the staff, nothing from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Felt very unfriendly. Will not be returning. It was as if they did not want us there from the second we walked. I was treating my father for his birthday, and my daughter for hers. None of us had ever gone to this establishment before. Never been to a restaurant that posted signs all across the glass of the buffet food area, that say they will charge an extra $8.99 or $9.99 for every pound of food left on the plates. The food was okay/good for the most part, I liked most of the items I tried. I did not feel very comfortable trying anything I had never eaten before. They had yellow dragon fruit which was the first thing I picked. Seems like it could be a nice place but if I'm being completely honest I would caution black people not to go.

Very disappointed with this buffet. My wife and I both got sick with severe diarrhea shortly after eating here. Clearly something was wrong with the food handling or cleanliness. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place until they fix their hygiene and food safety standards

My third dinning experience at Golden Panda Simi Valley. Good selection of various food, service was good...My big complaint is the restrooms and management, restrooms were filthy with urine soaked floors, water splashed everywhere, no paper towels to dry your hands. I told the management no paper towels to dry hands and the urine, and overall cleanliness, management seemed to ignore my comment. This is the third time I have witnessed this issue. You have to wonder, if the restrooms are dirty what about the kitchen? There was also a leak in the men's restroom ceiling with a large container catching the rain water that was almost overflowing. We went for lunch but missed the 3pm time limit by 5 minutes. Cleanliness is number one in all restaurants.

I use to bring family here for get togethers years ago and it was such a nice place, well taken care of, great food and selections. Im here now again for another family celebration and I'm disappointed. Starting with the service (server is being quick to rush us out). I have a party of 12 and we traveled from Santa Clarita, Palmdale and Camarillo to meet up for a Birthday. Next is the food (more on the cold side and the selections are not what they were before). I have to say, our favorite was the fruit, and ice cream. The tables are dirty, spotted and unleveled. The chairs are heavily stained, the floors are dirty. Back to the food, some of it especially the orange chicken taste like it's been reheated. The chicken is hard, I've never had orange chicken that taste so awful. In all, I won't be returning again. I won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone I know.

Golden Panda is one of Simi Valley’s largest buffet-style dining venues and stands out for its wide selection and efficient service. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including sushi, hibachi, noodles, seafood, and classic Chinese-American favorites.
The hibachi station is a highlight — freshly prepared to order and a nice interactive option for guests. I tried the udon noodles with vegetables and pineapple, which were flavorful and well-balanced. The sushi selection was fresh and pleasantly presented, with decent quality for a buffet setting.
The overall atmosphere is spacious and comfortable, suitable for families or groups. The buffet line is kept tidy and replenished frequently, and the staff manage the flow of guests efficiently.
In summary, Golden Panda delivers a satisfying dining experience with good variety, fresh food, and attentive service. It’s a reliable choice in Simi Valley for those looking for a generous buffet selection at a reasonable price.

Used to be good. Not anymore. Nearly empty trays of dry unappetizing food, sashimi fish smelled foul. Soft shell crab were spoiled to a point where the meat was a smelly goo.
