I stopped by this Kalaveras to take advantage of their happy hour. When I came, they were not busy at all. There was tons of parking spots near the front and barely any other guest inside. I sat at the bar area so I could watch the soccer game playing.
I got the spicy buffalo wings from the happy hour menu. I think it's a great deal because you get eight bone in buffalo wings. They also give chips and salsa as complimentary.
I like the chips and salsa, it had a nice spice to it. My buffalo wings came out quick and it was good to me. When I sat at the bar, the bartender used a fly zapper swatter to get the small flies around the bar area. It would discourage some guest but it didn't bother me.
The customer service I received here was great, I didn't have any issues when I was dining at the restaurant. There was no loud music that Kalaveras is known for when I was there but it could be because they save it for the night time.

The food was exceptionally delicious, with a plethora of good flavors and great sauces, presented in an appetizing manner. The establishment is very elegant and nice. However, the service, while polite, was merely adequate and lacked a personal touch. A welcoming greeting, such as inquiring about the day or occasion, would have set a positive tone. Unfortunately, the restroom had a bad odor, and the sight of a cook in uniform failing to wash his hands after using the urinal was off-putting. Despite this, I will return, hoping for an improved experience.

My husband and I dined here for the first time on Saturday night. The place was nearly empty, yet the music was insanely loud to the point where we couldn't have a conversation and it gave me a migraine. Service was poor. Our waitress was inattentive, it took forever to get the check, and we had to flag down another server. We also waited an unreasonable amount of time just to get water. If you're serving alcohol, water should be automatic. And the older man who brought the food out had a terrible attitude for no reason. He genuinely looked like he'd just walked in from Skid Row and was visibly annoyed to be working. Food was OK - nothing special or memorable. Overall, not a good experience, and we won't be returning.

Fantastic atmosphere, went for taco Tuesday and happy hour. We were a group of 3, 2 drinks each a few appetizers. Very friendly staff and quick service, our waiter came by several times making sure we had enough food and drinks

Had a great time for a 21st birthday, but my other friend got treated like crap for his bday bc he ordered dessert instead of drinks :/
Also they close earlier than their stated time, and I even called ahead of time and the lady who answered lied and said their kitchen and bar closed at 9:30 (and it says 10pm on the door) but when I came to the door at 8:50pm it was locked.

Horrible, horrible, horrible, if I could give it a 5 star negative I would.The service is terrible.The food was horrible my second time.There never going back.Same thing the first time around, Now the Kalaveras in Northridge, much better. Don't bother wasting your time, your money. It was creepy icky food in Simi.

Pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good. The chile relleno , rice, beans, enchiladas and flan were so good. My family had pasole and waffles and also enjoyed. Mimosas were kept topped off. We celebrated my nephews birthday and had a great time.
