Makenna has one of the best coffee I have tasted (Iced Maui, w/almond milk, no whip). I usually order on the app for pick up and they always have my order ready. As I’ve come in, the staff is friendly and welcoming. I always try to support small business and I’m happy to continue doing so with Makenna!

Great Hawaiian coffee and so many options for teas, coffee, Red Bull infused drinks, and more!

Coffee was okay, nothing to rant and rave over. A small here is more expensive than a venti at other competitors. Also the staff, is the dress code to wear booty shorts? Most of you look like minors and it made me super uncomfortable to be eye level with minor but cheek. And I’m not talking a shadow, I’m talking half cheek out, might as well be in a thong. I guess it’s the new hooters but if you hired minors. That was my biggest issue. It’s early, I just want my coffee. Put some pants on.

This place is so weird and overrated. They're having an identity crisis on whether they're just appropriating Hawaiian culture or trying to be Dutch bros. They do neither well because the coffee isn't using Hawaiian beans and they're not as good as Dutch Bros. I had the Maui, which was fine, but just soooo much milk and very light on coffee taste. From what I can see everything is super milky. I feel like this is why Starbucks continues to flourish in this town. I'm actually enjoying 85 degrees for their coffee and other drinks right now. This place is a harrrd pass. Also, the employees are just confused. It takes forever to get out of here- another point for Starbucks.

Work close to this place and just recently came in because someone gave me a gift card, and omg I am immediately transformed and taken somewhere else, this cozy cafe nook is all the beach vibes!! Good music, great customer service, the vibe and everyone is so chill, I've gotten to sample a few things off the menu and everything is delicious, good quality and tasty! The Maui cloud topping they throw on the coffee is a real treat

The staff is awesome. They were really sweet and helpful. It’s like giving amazing actors bad writing! The coffee is weak af, the food was also not great.

If you don't want to drive an hour in either direction on the 101, this is a great alternative to Dutch Bros. I only tried one of their non coffee items but it was great. Can't wait to try some other things there

Love the signage and decor that greets you when you come in. The scent of coffee beans wafting through the air. I stopped in a little before 10:30AM on a Sunday and it was packed(!) A dozen people were waiting when I came and there was a steady line of customers while I waited for our smoothie to be made. The pastries come from one person; warmed ir not warmed. The drinks come from the baristas who were non-stop working. Watching 5 of them in sync was a sight to see. In spite of their efforts, you have to understand that it's going to be awhile since most customers ordered more than one. I waited 15 minutes and was on the cusp of asking if they lost my slip. The gentleman in front came up, aggressively grabbed his coffee and popped off the lid. He got it all over his hand and then FLUNG it off on the floor and on my son and myself. He looked back but did not apologize. One barista noticed the lid malfunction and re-foamed milk to top off the coffee and added a new lid. Another barista noticed foam and coffee on the ground and asked if there was a spill. I was going to snap but just motioned to the gentleman who made no effort to clean his mess. The 2nd barista politely said, "has there been a spill, can I help clean this up?" His demeanor instantly reset me as I wiped coffee off my son and myself & opted to keep my words internally to myself. "Put yourself in their hangry shoes." Croissant sandwich was beyond soggy after the wait for the smoothie but my son was happy with the bacon still being crisp. (If you order food & it's busy, I would suggest eating immediately while waiting for your drinks.) Ham and cheese held up nicely during the wait and was delicious. Coffee cake was moist and had great flavor of tart and sweetness. Staff overall was great and well trained with excellent customer service. Bravo! We'll have to try them again when we're in the area. Mahalo!

I come here all the time and usually there is no problems. I love the coffee and the service usually but today it took min 10 minutes to get my order when there was basically no one else in the shop. There were 3 people working and they were talking with two friends the whole time. It took longer than it does in the morning because they were talking to their friends the whole time. This was at 3:45pm.

The Hawaiian Honey Latte is the best coffee drink in town. It is a sweet symphony of flavors--perfectly balancing espresso, velvety milk, and exquisite Hawaiian honey. I'm not sure what they do to their milk but the exceptional taste adds an extra layer of richness to the latte. Despite an extended wait for them to make the drink, due to the many orders, the drink's divine taste makes it well worth it. This spot sets the bar high for an exceptional coffee experience!

We saw this coffee shop and decided to give it a try. There are lots of selections to try. We came in the afternoon and they still had a good variety of pastries. We sat inside and there was a steady stream of customers. I would recommend giving it a try.

If Makenna ownership sees this, I'd say congratulations on a well built business so start thinking about expanding to make more room. I leave without ordering at least every 4th visit because the line is out the door.
