Marilyn's Mediterranean Kitchen

Marilyn's is not your ordinary restaurant, it's more like going to Mom's for dinner. The owner is almost always there and you're sure to get a warm welcome. If that's not enough, the meals are outstanding and portions are very generous. I discovered this gem about two weeks ago and have been back several times with family and friends. I encourage you to try it. You will not be disappointed.

We sometimes forget that there is a wonderful seafood restaurant in our neighborhood. Marilyn is so sweet service comes with many smiles.

This place was very popular, however, we had to send our soups and gyro back to the kitchen to be re-heated. The chicken kabob was not cooked on a skewer, just pan fried and tough. This was our first time here so maybe it was an "off" day.

Food is delicious and portions are large. Don't go in a hurry though. Everything is cooked to order, so wait time for food to arrive is a but longet than usual restaurants.

The food was good once we finally got it. The servers were nice but kind of short with people and you got to watch the kitchen staff and front of house argue about tickets. We will go back but we will call ahead and order take out. I had a gyro plate with salad and Hummus. Yum! He had a gyro sandwich and cioppino. The "stew" was not a stew but a loose broth. Flavor was good but not what was expected.

This place has incredible food, friendly and efficient service, an extensive menu, lots of fresh seafood, professional preparation and presentation, huge portions, and fair pricing for what you get! I just wanted something quick and easy to take home so I ordered the Beef Gyro plate with salad and saffron rice....this was 3 days ago and I still have not finished...must have been 3lbs of food!

The food is TERRIBLE!!! I was REALLY hoping I'd like it because our regular amazing place (Greek House) is under construction. The hummus is tasteless which I didn't know was even possible. The pita tasted like raw flour/dough! The dressing for the Greek salad tasted suspiciously like wishbone Italian, Really?! Even the feta on the salad was not flavorful . They give you a generous portion of meat for the gyro pita but it was just ok. The tzatziki tasted like yogurt with fresh dill and nothing else. I want my $16 dollars back. I can see the employees and owner are hard workers and they are Greek but their food just isn't good. I have no idea why it's crowded other than these people have never had good Greek food so they don't know any better.

Best humus we've ever had by far. 5 stars from all 3 of us. Marilyn's came recommended from friends to mom who recommended it to us. We were super happy with the fish tacos and she was quite happy with the special. Everything was really fresh and smelled & looked good. Descent quantity and price. Great taste and quality.
