I’ve been driving past this restaurant how a while now and boy and I’m regretful I didn’t come in WAY sooner!!! Having been to Peru before and I can tell you this restaurant is Spot on! The love put into the food is very evident and the service was excellent. If you were ever curious about Peruvian food this is the place!!! Oh and try their street food items they are delicious.

A little treasure in Simi Valley! Bold yet subtle flavors. Not spicy, very savory. The food has a compliment of Asian fusion and South American flavors. All fresh, nothing store bought, no bagged and reheated food here. We will eat here again and we suggest you try it too.
Casual dining. I only suggest they dim the lights for more atmosphere. A cute heated patio
Give this woman owned place a try and you’ll be happy and full.

Made it here finally and was not to pleased. Very expensive !! Steak, peppers, onions and fries don’t warrant 30$ plate of mediocre food. A tiny amount at that. The Empanadas were ok but 17$ for (2) is loony tunes.

The service ? We were greeted seated and put in our order but after food was brought out The server was nowhere to be found For the rest of the meal. Finally, she returned to pick up our plates after we sat for 15 minutes and then we sat there for another 15 waiting for the check.

While we were there, one small group of people came in and the place was totally empty Go figure.

The parking was on the street and you take your life in your own hands, trying to back out of your spot without getting rundown, Word to the wise park in the back.

We drove out here to try this place but should have went to the OG Rincon Criollo. Half the price with tastier food and a better selection.

My son and I just enjoyed the most delicious meal at Munay Restaurant. From the moment we were seated, the service was top-notch. Our server was incredibly attentive, letting us know that the kitchen was busy and kindly apologizing for a possible delay. This brief wait actually worked in our favor, as it gave us time to research and learn about some of the unique dishes on the menu.

When the food arrived, it exceeded our expectations. We started with two refreshing beverages: the Chicha Morada and the Maracuya. Both were bursting with flavor and perfectly complemented our meals.

My son ordered the Señorita Pollada, a marinated chicken dish that’s fried, glazed, and served with potatoes and a house salad tossed in a lime vinaigrette. He loved the flavors, though we found the chicken to be slightly dry—likely due to the kitchen being busy that evening. I had the Pasta Huanca, featuring Pappardelle pasta in a rich huancaína sauce topped with beef tenderloin stir-fry. It was absolutely cooked to perfection, and the combination of textures and flavors was outstanding.

Despite the busyness of the kitchen, the service was terrific, and the food was overall delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back for another great experience!

The ceviche was amazing, the mix of flavors has a beautiful blend of citrus, sweetness, and spice. The fried rice pyramid was good, it would have been nice to have a little more of the great marinated meat that came with it. Portion sizes were just right, definitely left full, but satisfied. Presentation was very inviting.

Was very disappointed. The roasted chicken was awful. As an avid Eater of peruvian food, I'd have say avoid this place at all cost.

First time at Munay and we were pleasantly surprised. The food is great, it does not disappoint. Each dish has its own greatness and the variety of the menu is very good. We had the lomo saltado, the meat was tender, the portion was good and the flavor was excellent. The cevichito was very good too, not too sour but just right and they give you more lemon juice in case you need it. the kids pollada was flavorful; however, if your kid is not a foody opt for the chicken strips instead they are a good size portion. The juices are good but in the $6.00 range.

Amazing Peruvian food in Simi Valley. And if you know anything about Simi Valley, you know we don’t get interesting food very often. Go and support Munay! We had the empanadas (which were incredible), and the salchipapas. I had no idea I needed French fries with sausages in life, but now I feel complete. The best part? Those two dishes, four Peruvian beers and a dessert was only $80. We’ll be back, and you should be there too.

Only the service was good.
Ceviche: the fish was good but prepared with excess salt, check this.
Lomo Saltado: a disappointment came with a very cloying greenish juice, a lot of vinegar. If this is a merger they should consider putting that juice aside or consulting. The meat was good, very little onion and the potatoes swimming in that juice
Pollada: It was a dressing with chicken, an overwhelming excess of seasonings, a lot of vinegar.
Chicha Morada: good appearance but when tasted it was bitter, excessive cloves
The dishes have a good presentation, but when you try them nothing happens.
This is so that they improve or take care of or dose the seasonings and ingredients well, the almost $100 that was paid did not merit such a bad experience.
