These new owners have made a beautiful sushi bar/restaurant/menu. I have been to this restaurant 4 times now for lunch. Their service has made me feel valued and special each time... Friendly and timely. The ambiance is beautiful and it feels very clean when you walk in. The sushi is SO FRESH, even mid-week, and the special cut rolls are very artistic and delicious. I very much love the no rice rolls selection, and the Chef accommodated me by making a no rice spider roll that wasn't on the menu... Mmmm, Mmmm! I'm bringing friends upon my next visit (Sat. Aug. 2, 2025).

The food was absolutely delicious. It was busy so service was a little slow, understandably as it was very busy. There was a line outside on a Thursday. The food was great and I will be back.

Disappointed with the service.
I placed an online order and arrived after the time it was supposed to be ready. The staff had no idea about my order—even after I showed the confirmation receipt. I ended up waiting another 15 minutes, and I was still waiting. Completely unorganized and frustrating experience.
With that being said the food is good, not great but not bad.

Great sushi. Reservations are a good idea.
Great spicy tuna hand roll and so fresh. The baked green mussels rainbow roll were excellent, very fresh. Very nice staff.
Love love love this place! Staff is so nice. Prices are great. Legit one of the best that Simi has to offer.
Some of the best Ramen I've had so far. The taste was 10/10 for me 🤤
Very fast service for a fresh, made-to -order Sushi restaurant. Delicious!
Ate here after new ownership. Sushi is fresh and delicious. Nice happy hour deal now.

This restaurant recently changed ownership, and the new owner is also the chef who personally prepares the dishes. The taste is absolutely outstanding.

It is a NEGATIVE REVIEW but I do have to mention the FOOD is GOOD however the HOSPITALITY is NOT... We go to this place a couple times a week as the food is great, however the service from one of the female waitress is not. We usually order 2 different sushi rolls, chicken teriyaki with a side of rice and 2 orders of ramen. At first we would tip after the 3rd time I decided not to as the waitress is always rushing us.
Yesterday 6/27/24 we went in for dinner and once again order the usual not once did she approach us to ask if we needed anything, even when asking for to go plates the lady dropped them off to the table next to us i believe table #7 and that party gave it to us. We were given our check, we paid as we exit. WHEN WE STEPPED OUTSIDE THIS CASHIER/WAITRESS FLAGGED YS OUTSIDE AND ASKED WHY WE HAVE NOT TIPPED THE LAST COUPLE TIMES. I'm sorry but I work for my money and will not give it to people who don't deserve it. When she asked I asked her 'IS IT MANDATORY' her response " NO, BUT I TAKE YOUR FOOD TO THE TABLE AND WORK IN HOSPITALITY"
I'm sorry but after tipping the first couple times and not being properly taken cared of nor ever being asked if we need anything, instead we have to flag her every time because she is always rushing and when she takes the order not only is she rushing us if we ask for anything either she doesn't bring it or takes forever and has some sort of attitude, so yes I refuse to tip.
But for her to have the audacity to ask why she didn't she get a tip is crazy, Once again IT IS NOT MANDATORY, I go to work and don't expect to be compensated for doing my job, A job I choose to attend to everyday, never would I ever ask someone for handouts.
THE FOOD IS GREAT but her attitude and approach is not acceptable.

Our favorite place in Simi. Friendly service, and great sushi. Try a Special Crunch Roll. Not on the menu but it is a great one!

We have been loyal customers for 4 years. The last few times they’ve made us feel uncomfortable ? 1st incident. We got turned 45 min before closing because “they ran out of fish”. Our family never orders raw fish, we have younger children- we always go for the crab meet and cooked options. I am sure they know this. Anyway, we got over it and left. 2nd incident the chef immediately asks how many, I observed him and he never asks anyone else that came in. Shortly after we are seated the older waitress mumbles something in Japanese (I am assuming) to our waitress in-front of us … with judgmental facial expressions. I am not sure what that was about. I felt discriminated. Additionally we would still be working on our plate when the waitress would come and remove the plate. In one instance my husband had to say “no” . Needless to say that after our this experience we will not be returning. We were loyal nice, paying customers. No matter what shape, race or size no one deserves the awkward treatment. I used to bring coworkers, friends, and business partners in whenever possible. Credit where is due their sushi flavor is amazing but not worth the bad customer service.
