To serve in the same spot, with the same spirit, since 1958 — for 67 years — is not just admirable, it’s a quiet triumph. It tells its own story: of consistency, care, and character. The choice of the name Sutter’s Mill is no coincidence; it echoes with the very roots of California’s bold beginnings — a subtle nod to legacy.

Over the years, we’ve brought many guests to your doors, and each time, we’ve found the same charm: a graceful blend of old-school warmth, elegant décor, and service that still remembers the value of attentiveness.

Sutter’s Mill isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a keeper of tradition in a world that rushes to forget. Please, carry this torch forward, untouched by fleeting trends, and keep shining for at least another 67 years.

Thank you. 🤌🏻🫶🏻

A great, long-time, local neighborhood steakhouse. Comforting food and drinks with cozy booths. Their famous prime rib is juicy and tender. The au jus sauce was so flavorful. I forgot to take a picture of our 8 ounce Prime Rib with sides mac n cheese and steak fries- because we ate it up so quickly lol. Sorry guys, my bad!
But we also had Shrimp Cocktail and Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. They were both very delicious!
We sat at the bar. Go see Carrie at the bar. She’ll take good care of you. Thank you all!

Love the old timer steakhouse vibe...Great food!

It was okay. No bad, not great. Salmon was tasty. Did not have the ability to make an Aperol Spritz.

Our prime rib was on the dry side maybe over cooked. Bake potato was cold but they did replace a hot one. Overall will go back.

Sutter's Mill has been around for quite a while, first time I've eaten here. Great service and food. Sirloin is usually not the best cut, but there's was the best Sirloin I have ever eaten. Would definitely order it again!

Dark bar- like atmosphere. Limited drink and food menu. Kind of like an old school eatery for older folks who like red meat.

Server could have been more attentive. Had to continually as for drink refills and a long time for her to take our orders. But would definitely go back.

Everything was very good, especially the service, but not the prime rib sandwich. They use slices and end pieces of well done meat, and it makes the sandwich somewhere between really disappointing to bad.

It was pricey for what we received and in comparison to other steakhouses. We were celebrating a birthday, but they don't bring out any complimentary dessert or make mention of the birthday, even though we put it in the reservation and told the server . A little disappointing that this is how an 83-year-old decided to spend her birthday on her actual birthday and it just didn't feel special at this restaurant . We ordered the cherry cobbler to share and it was just so so. The entrées and the hot sides were also just so so. The best part was the crisp salad served as one of the sides if that is the option. The salad was crisp and nicely presented . The visit was A little disappointing that this is how an 83-year-old decided to spend her birthday on her actual birthday and it just didn't feel special at this restaurant. When she asked if they cooked the salmon and butter, the waitress told her yes that is how it is cooked and didn't let her make any modification. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and was comfortable and clean.

Got the mini ribeye ?6oz with 1 side $28, fries, a beer, and a 3"x3.5" piece of peach cobbler (no ice cream). The other party got a "full" sized salmon dish with '2' sides, the same price, 2 beers and no dessert. My Ribeye, I thought they made a mistake as it was about 1/4" thick, about 2.5" wide and 5" long. I thought they put a piece of flank steak on my plate. Tasted great though. Beer was perfectly ice cold. Loved it. Fries were good. Waitress Above excellent. The atmosphere was kind of too dark. So IF the prices were more... sane, I would go back. But $28 for a sliver of ribeye. Our bill was over $90 and after splitting My portion was, and with tip $56. That was a shock for first timer. Oh well. I'll wait for November when Trump fixes this stuff.

Excellent 6oz rib eye steaks and their loaded potatoes are so amazingly fluffy. Green beans are freshly snapped and the sautéd mushrooms added to your steak are the best! Don't miss this place. It was a great find this week. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
