If you have an avocado allergy, Tokyo Sushi is a tough spot. 46 of their 50 rolls include avocado!
But that's my problem, not theirs. We went for the chef's choice sushi sampler and the bulgogi plate. While the cuts on the sushi weren't super precise, and our entrees came out 10 minutes apart (I feel like that's not uncommon when ordering sushi and hot food), and our tea pot was kind of rusty... It's still probably one of the better sushi spots in Simi Valley. I haven't tried them all, but I've tried quite a few.
The building helps; it's this low-ceiling, square room decked out with wood, surrounding a large sushi bar. And the servers were all very friendly. Clearly there are a lot of regulars here.
Tokyo Sushi is not perfect, but it's very good, and I'll definitely keep it in mind when I want sushi!

Read some of the reviews first. So, wanted to give the readers my feedback: Tokyo Sushi is my go-to place for good, fresh sushi in large portions. My grandson and daughter have the chicken teriyaki bowl every time I go with them, no MSG. I've never had an issue with my card and I'm there at least twice a week. Never had to wait, either. Excellent service, friendly and fast. Best Sushi restaurant in Simi Valley and the prices are very reasonable. I give them AAAA++++

Stopped in tonight for a light dinner. I ordered the Brussel sprouts appetizer to start. It was good, but large. I ended up taking half home.
I got the Dinner Bento. It was a very generous bento with Sush, sashimi a California Roll. I opted for the Salmon Teryiaki. It was a large piece of salmon! The benyo also had a salad, miso soup, 2 thousand and mixed tempura. All was good. It was more than a light dinner with the larger servings, but I enjoyed it.
The service was good, but a slight mix up with the check that was quickly corrected. All in all a decent dinner

This sushi place is clean, has a very nice staff, and really great quality sushi and rolls. I ordered to go the other day and it was super fast. Spicy tuna is super spicy!

Great quality sushi , daughter loves the chicken yakisoba (incase you have people in your group that don’t eat sushi) they have great options for everyone.. The restaurant is always extremely clean and the service top notch! Highly recommended
