Went in on a Saturday on my way home because tacos sounded really good. They did not disappoint! The menu is simple but full of items for everyone. The person at the counter was very helpful. I cannot do spicy so they put all the sauces on the side for my dish, but the food was still extremely flavorful. This is not fast food, but it only took about 15 minutes for my order. My husband loved the tacos. And generous portions of food. We will be going back!!

Appalling Treatment of Employees – I Will No Longer Support Your Business
I am absolutely disgusted by the way your business treated one of your employees. I recently learned that an employee, who was simply saying hi to her friends, was bullied to the point of tears and ultimately felt forced to quit. This behavior is completely unacceptable.
No one should ever be made to feel so unwelcome or degraded at their workplace, especially over something as harmless as greeting friends. The fact that this situation escalated to the point of emotional distress and resignation speaks volumes about the toxic work environment you're fostering.
As a result of this appalling treatment, I will no longer be supporting your business, and I will make sure to share this experience with others so that they are aware of how your company treats its employees. No one deserves to be treated this way, and I strongly encourage others to take their business elsewhere.

Wow! Been eating here on and off since the new owners, but just realized I never gave a review.
The owners are the nicest people, and really try hard to make everything perfect.
Prices here are very fair also, which is really saying something these days.
Just dined in for lunch here with my son and got the Mar y tierra (sea & land) instead of one of the other items that I usually get.
It’s amazing!. HUGE amount of food and all delicious.
Superbly well seasoned steak and grilled shrimp-fajita style -along with refried beans, Platanos Fritos(perfectly cooked fried bananas), rice, guacamole, homemade tortillas and a jalapeño.
I’m not normally really a big fajitas guy -but these are just perfect and all the other stuff you get on the plate. I’m already planning on returning and getting that again. Hope it doesn’t disappear off the menu.
Do yourself a favor and come and just get it.

My son got the birria tacos which are always great.
We usually get those or some soft tacos or the amazing quesadillas or the awesome tortas(sandwiches)
I know we have a lot of Mexican food options in Simi but trust me-this is one of the best in town if not the best.

My daughter and I visited Urban Taco today and had a wonderful experience. My daughter, who is a picky eater, asked for something not on the menu. The owner overheard her, jumped in, and figured out how to accommodate her request. He then checked on us and other restaurant patrons several times to ensure we were enjoying our meal.
In a world where so many businesses only want to do the bare minimum, Urban Taco was a pleasant surprise! If you are in the area, I highly recommend you check them out!

The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. For my first time being here the employee that took our order was very nice and gave us a coupon to come next time. When we were waiting for our to go order, another gentleman came and asked me if I wanted some water as I didn’t order a drink. He came back with my water and complimentary chips and salsa while we waited. We took this gesture very kindly and we will definitely be coming back!
P.S. the horchata is amazing!
