We ordered tacos al pastor tacos de asada que birria and chiken tenders and me and my family really liked the food and the serviceKid-friendliness: They spoiled my daughters and gave them food just the way they wanted.

Interesting. I've called 8 times and nobody is picking up yet it is open until 7. As I passed by, there were no customers and they still weren't answering.

Literally obsessed. It's an upscale take out taco fusion restaurant of my dreams. Everything there is good, refreshing, flavorful, and unique. It is worth a visit and to try different tacos - and the SPECIALS are also always soooo good. The worst part is that I can usually only eat 2, maybe 3, and so I can't get all the different ones I want... love this place!!!!!!!!!!!Vegetarian options: There is a tempura avocado taco that is literally to die for and i'm obsessed. Other options clearly labled on their menu and can also be modifiedDietary restrictions: one of the owner's daughters is vegan, so there are some specials made just for her that are available and anything can be modified for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options!Parking: always ample parking - have never had a problem and have never had to park far away.Kid-friendliness: very kid friendly food options (can get "normal" beef tacos and burritos/quesadillas etc chips..)Wheelchair accessibility: very easy wheelchair access - it's right near the curb/ramp, and has double doors and tables with moveable chairs

Always happy and excited to see a new taco place pop up in town. Urban taco is a cute little location that has the classics, in addition to a bunch of fun fusion tacos to try. In addition to that there is also some gyro and a suite of burritos. While by no means bad, not all of the tacos were created equally. I tried a few proteins - quesabarria, al pastor, pollo, and carne. The latter two were great, the former two I found lacking. The quesabarria lacked a good bit of queso, and the al pastor was served with pineapple chunks - but the pineapple was quite cold compared to the protein.

The best Tacos in town. A nice family business. They are nice and care. I like the Shrimp Taco.

We stopped by for the first time this afternoon and had the ground beef taco, baja fish taco and shrimp taco. All were very good. I especially liked the shrimp taco as it was on the spicy side. I am looking forward to trying other items on the menu. I liked that they offered a variety of menu items that I haven't seen elsewhere, locally. The restaurant was very clean, the employees were friendly and the food was served promptly. I would definitely recommend this place.

This place is amazing. They have the usual taco fare but also fusion items, like a Bahn mi taco and also specials. I can't recommend the tempura avocado taco enough. Give them lots of business so we can make sure they stay around!

The staff (one person) was friendly and greeted us when we entered. The place was very clean. We were the only customers the entire time we were there. This was Sunday lunch time. Food was so so. My tortilla tasted moldy. The shrimp was over cooked and hard. So many places to choose from this will NOT be one to choose again.

Dear Hubby and I stopped in after running errands on a Thursday early evening. They had Thursday Night Football on, which meant that we could stay and eat our dinner until half time, then head home. When we arrived, about 6 p.m., we were the only ones in the place. The young cashier at the register immediately sprang to duty when we walked in. He greeted us and offered to answer any questions we had about the established menu items, or the daily specials. His friendliness was probably the best part of the visit. The dining room is clean and bright; not really decorated in any particular style, which is too laissez faire for my taste. In thinking about why I didn't enjoy it more, I reflect on Snapper Jack's Taco Shack in T.O., for an example of what an inviting, fun atmosphere can be. Urban Taco's ambiance is bland, very vanilla. The food turned out to be only okay. We didn't know how big the tacos would be, or if anything came on the side. After we ordered one taco apiece, the cashier suggested that most people got for at least two tacos, as they aren't that large. I decided to order a gyro for us to split, as it was more than double the price of a taco, so I figured it would be more substantial. My salmon taco with mango salsa was just so-so. The salmon was dried out and didn't have much flavor to add to the mix. The gyro which DH and I split was more satisfying, taste-wise. The cucumber sauce upped the flavor profile. The meat, while tasty, and tender, was lacking in quantity. Unlike the aforementioned Snapper Jack's, which offers either a side of rice & beans, or a handful of chips, plus a generous salsa bar with accompaniments as part of each order, Urban Taco just gives you a taco, or a gyro. No sides at all. That was disappointing. A few chips and some salsa would have been appropriate. I wasn't interested in any of their beverage options to purchase, so we went with complimentary water flavored with lemon and cucumber. Overall, not the best value in town. Not "expensive", but for only the listed items and no sides, lacking in satisfaction. I don't think we'll be rushing back.

I tried Birria and Al Pastor tacos and was very disappointed with the quality and taste. Microwave food at a high price. I will not be coming back. I would not recommend.

My workplace used to use Urban Taco sometimes and it was always great food. They gave a huge amount of food for the money paid and as I remember, they even gave us about double the number of chocolate chip cookies we ordered. I hope we use them again sometime. This was all before the pandemic; since we came back to the office they found another Mexican catering guy who is right down the road from us, not in Simi which is farther. His food is ok but just not spectacular. Anyhow, I hope we get back to Urban Taco again sometime. I actually told the manager to order from them again.

While the quality of the food is good I must call to action their attention to food allergy's. I told the girl at the front that I'm severely allergic to tomato's and that it cannot be in my San Antonio fluffy taco. I called back after i ate it, after noticing that my throat was hurting. According to the cook in the back room they cook the meat with tomato and didn't disclose that until I called. Most business's would be apologetic offering a customer a new meal or their money back but in this case i got a sorry i didn't know. I took my meds after this and will be ok but Ill have 2 or 3 days of feeling like I have strep throat. in the future they need to be more aware of what is going in the food and what peoples limitation is. I wont be going back!Dietary restrictions: I'm severely allergic to tomato's and they didn't take this into account after mentioning during my order
