I’ve only had Chauncey’s through takeout so far, usually ordering through a meal delivery service for my team at work or for my monthly book club meetings, and the pizza is genuinely so good. My team at work gets excited every time. We’ve tried a pepperoni and onion pizza, the Traditional Combo, and the Chauncey’s, and the Chauncey’s has been the crowd favorite so far (picture below).
I’m not usually a thick-crust person, but their crust is crisp, light, and gives the whole thing a higher-quality feel. The toppings are generous and fresh (the boxes are heavy in the best way). Everything arrives hot and well-packed. The only thing I’d love to see added is Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes in the to-go orders since you can’t request them through the apps. Otherwise, it’s become a reliable go-to for group meals.

I've been to a lot of family friendly restaurants in San Diego, but Chauncey's is special. The vibe feels both coastal and homey, making it great for birthdays and causal get-togethers. Their happy hour San Diego menu makes it easy to relax after work, and the staff goes above and beyond every time. Easily the best pizza in Solana Beach in my book!

Chauncey’s is a great pizza place, a little different from others. I especially like the sourdough crust. And we had the vegetarian pizza which was loaded with fresh vegetables, cooked just right, very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We stumbled upon Chauncey’s while searching “sports bar near me,” and I’m so glad we did. This place is the perfect mix of a sports bar Solana Beach and a cozy pizza restaurant. We watched a game on their big screens while sharing a couple pizzas — the sourdough crust was perfection. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Definitely the spot we’ll recommend to friends in town for the weekend.

We discovered Chauncey's Pizza and Bar while looking for a meal before a concert at Belly Up. You MUST visit and experience their sourdough pizza 🍕 The Best!! A somewhat new business in Solana Beach, the atmosphere is fun, the drinks were excellent and the food top notch. Plan a visit and support Rich, the owner in this new endeavor here in the Solana Beach area after being in San Jose for 20 years.

My husband and I ordered a pizza and salad to go tonight. We are normally Pizza Port customers but wanted to try this place after walking by it a ton of times. Wow we thought that this pizza was actually better than Pizza Port! We got half of a BBQ chicken pizza and half Chauncey’s pizza and both were great! The house salad was okay nothing too great but a good side. Yes the atmosphere at Pizza Port is nostalgic but overall the pizza here tastes much better! The crust is incredible! I think we have found our new favorite pizza spot. :)

Get NFL network!!!! Your setup is great but I get it if you’re not trying to be a sports bar. Nika is working hard! Great food and good TV setup. Service is spotty because inconsistent crowds. Tough to compete with Pizza Port. A bit expensive but less grungy and will catch on if the improve their table service! Need a waitress, wish Chauncey’s the best! Go Birds!
