We live to combine a home at Annie's canyon down the street with a visit to Claire's before or after.
I joined the wait-list on Google maps as I was driving there. Checked into the hostess stand after I was able to score the last spot in their small parking lot behind the restaurant. There is plenty of parking across the street.
Service was good and we were there at noon for lunch. It was busy but there were still plenty of empty tables out on their back patio. We had a little wait for our food orders and they came out at different times. We ordered the salmon and peach salad and the veggie sandwich. The salad was very fresh and delicious. The veggie sandwich wasn't a hit so we don't recommend that dish. High stack of fresh vegetables but tasteless.

I felt like they were a bit racist. We went there, waited 45 minutes, and then finally they gave us a seat. Then they started to take orders from other people who arrived later than us, completely ignoring us. It just didn't happen once. We went there couple of months ago, same thing. They will not take order or come to our table unless we ask them twice. They are not welcoming for people of color.

I really wanted to like it because the vibes were cute, but unfortunately the food was bland, and our server was reluctant to check in on us. Usually I’m not pressed about service but I had to flag down our server twice plus two other staff members just to get water. When I saw her serving other (white) folk before us (all POC), it was hard not to wonder if there’s something else going on.

Had a really excellent brunch here last weekend, the hash browns and pancakes were excellent. Best hash browns I’ve ever had. Mimosa was absolutely delicious. Had a lovely morning on the porch, wait was short while we shopped around nearby. Can’t wait to come back!

September 2024. We returned. Coffees were fantastic. Breakfast of waffle, eggs, delicious bacon, hashbrowns was spectacular. Service was very good two days in a row.
UPDATE: Returned and it was fantastic again!! Awesome! Claire’s has a great menu. Hubby had the vanilla bean French toast and it’s yummy. I had the amazing oatmeal with caramelized banana/roasted pineapple. Breakfast was so good we are going back asap… two days in a row. In town on vacation.

I wish it was a "secret", but anyone in the area knows this is the hot spot for a "earthy"; healthy, eclectic breakfast and or lunch. The vibe here is casual and fun with both indoor or outdoor dining. Definitely a place that will satisfying your comfort cravings. Start with an amazing coffee, specialty tea, fresh juice (think pomegranate or guava), or even beer, wine or bubbles. Their unique menu offers a twist to some classics with a tweak on ingredients for just a right flavor mashup. It a cool place to meeting up with friends and family. They have the BEST fresh baked breads and pastries too. In a rush ... They have a side, standalone, outdoor bungalow for coffee and quick bite to take with or sit and eat at a picnic table.
Popular but poor management of the number of people coming to eat. Waitlists up to 40+ in line.

Cute, quant little spot. The people are so friendly and helpful. It is a nice spot that mostly only locals know about. Been going here for years. Know the owner and she is great. Anything you pick on the menu is going to be a winner. French toast and the Chilaquiles were phenomenal
