I had such a great experience at Rustic Root! The atmosphere was warm, lively, and the perfect mix of upscale and relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious, and the happy hour menu was honestly fantastic — great variety, great portions, and great prices.
A special shout-out to Rob, the bartender, who was incredibly attentive the entire time. He anticipated what we needed before we even asked, checked in without being intrusive, and made amazing recommendations. His service truly made the night even better.

We went to Rustic Root tonight in Solana Beach. Our server, Jasmin, was truly exceptional. She was attentive without hovering, quick to notice what we needed before we even asked, and carried herself with a warmth that instantly made the table feel relaxed. Her charm, her heart to serve, and her fun, natural humor carried the night.
The food was good and the atmosphere was great, except for the fact that you could barely hear your guest without a struggle — it was simply too loud.
Without Jasmin, it could have been a train wreck. She turned what could have been a frustrating evening into a genuinely enjoyable one. I’m not sure if I’d go back because of the noise, but we still had a great time.

The atmosphere and location is great. Highly recommend the outside bar area. I have been a few times outside and the outside bar with apps and drinks is a great vibe. We did a large dinner party and the service was mediocre but the real zinger was the $70 steak was quite possibly one of the worst I have had in over 10 years. Maybe the worst in my life.The other entrees were good after trying some other plates with friends. The rib eye steak was fatty, and ice cold. The wine reduction didn't work for the plate and it was not a fit for a premier steak entree option. More than half of it was not able to be eaten and this was after the kitchen heated it up so it was room temp. Overall worth popping in, But certainly do not get the ribeye steak dinner.
