Very delayed review here but we rented out SBK for an event last year and it was the perfect space. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere and ambiance was perfect. And the staff was professional and helpful. Would highly recommend this place for a bite or an event!

The food here is unexpectedly delicious and so fresh! It feels like a casual restaurant/bar but things like the Hummus plate feel farm to table. Soups from scratch. Chicken sandwich was a fav.

Amazing mediterranean fusion! Excellent overall minus our timing. We got there at 2pm and they had 1 server. I'd say they need to staff at least a 2nd person, however our server was very friendly and attentive considering.

Tasty food but mediocre service. Kitchen was backlogged which they told us as we kept waiting for appetizer. Then the main dishes came out a couple at a time with 10-15 min gaps between them. Food was cold for some or completely finished for others by the time the last (kid!) order came. A quick apology from a server was it. Other servers checked in constantly but did nothing other than say “excellent” when told we were still waiting for dishes. So friendly but inefficient.
Solana Beach Kitchen was amazing. Each dish was spectacular. Loved the Surf & Turf Nachos, the Calamari was the best I have ever had. The Mac n Cheese with brisket was a recommendation from the fabulous Tracy and it was incredibly delicious.
Everything was so good that we returned the next night!! Highly recommend SB Kitchen.

Excellent food. Two of us had tacos..one fish, the other had chicken. Our other friend had a salad with chicken. All delicious. Staff very friendly.

Observed plenty of waiters standing around on their phones and had to flag someone down to get service. The soup was really good!
