Omg the lemon pastry here is to die for. Please visit this one if you're in Solvang.
lady barely acknowledged me and looked like she didn't want to be there, then when I left and opened the bag it turned out she gave me the wrong thing 💀
Coffee here was very underwhelming and below average. Bear claw was good.
Dined outside, great food and service
Excellent pastries and coffee and a nice hyggelig place to sit and enjoy.
This bakery only accepts cash, which was inconvenient. The blonde female staff and middle-aged male employee were quite unfriendly — they answered curtly with stiff expressions and made us feel unwelcome, especially as foreigners. It really dampened the mood of what was supposed to be a pleasant visit to Solvang. Unfortunately, the pastries and coffee were also underwhelming. Definitely not a place I’d return to.
(Edit) In response to the owner’s comment: I want to clarify that I was definitely told cash only at the time of my visit, and I paid in cash. I made sure I reviewed the correct bakery, Birkholm’s. Just sharing my honest experience.
An outstanding family-owned bakery. We loved the Napoleon but the rum balls were not very rummy.

Marieka was amazing, she actually was the first person after going into 8 other bakery's who looked at me and greeted me. She was so helpful & thoughtful even explained to me how the danishes were made. Hands down best in town ... I spent my $$ here for this reason!
Lovely cafe. Pleasant staff. Good service.

We were visiting from the central valley and remembered stopping here once before. We shared a raspberry danish and had some coffee. We sat inside due to the heat. A gentleman (Rick??) was very helpful and served coffee at our table and even asked if we'd like a refill and some to go cups. The danish was superb!

The food in this place was awesome. If this was in my route to go back home, I would go there again.

Somewhat expensive (17 dollars for a sabdwich) but I suppose it’s a touristy place. I took two pastries, one was far too sweet and I couldn’t finish it, and the other was nothing special and a bit short of filling. The large cappuccino did not seem large. The service was quick and efficient. Overall OK but I would not go back.

We tried the cheese bread and the cappuccino. The coffee is a good brand, however for a cappuccino it had little foam and I ordered it with a single shot and it seemed strong. The bread I chose was cheese and I thought it was simple, not bad but not good either. The place is nice, clean and spacious, the service is friendly and the prices are fair, but I was expecting a better taste.
