Coast Range Reviews
Amazing restaurant! Loved the atmosphere. Food was delicious and service was great. Can’t recommend more
We ordered 2 prime ribs medium rare and they came out looking awesome and smelled great . Problem was they were both soooo tough. Hard to eat. And very expensive for what we received . But the baked potatoes were fantastic . Service was good. Just old tough steaks. We paid and left. Funny one staff told us that rib eyes are always tough. I call this bs.
Talk about excellent customer service. Even though they almost kicked me out for mentioning Peanut butter whiskey haha. Food was delicious the ambiance was so much fun. The bar, music and drinks were on point. Got an espresso martini with real espresso shot and now I’m a fan. Thank you for a great experience my husband and I will be back for sure!!!

Coast Range is a conveniently located restaurant with a classy and romantic ambiance, perfect for special occasions. The menu features delicious dishes like rib eye, fried calamari, and salmon. Guests have highlighted the spinach pop tart as huge and tasty, while the bone marrow and beef stroganoff are also delightful choices. The Caesar salad is described as "pure magic," though some find it too salty, and the baked potato remains enormous and stuffed with tasty ingredients. The upscale atmosphere offers indoor and outdoor seating, creating a cozy yet elegant setting.
The service is professional and attentive, with periodic water refills, although some diners have experienced long waits for food. Guests enjoy generous portions, flavorful beer, and standout sauces, such as horseradish sauce with halibut and the perfect hollandaise. Some dishes, like the crispy mozzarella arugula salad and crispy rice spicy tuna, are well-prepared, but the spicy tuna has been noted to lack heat. The rib eye and filet mignon can be unevenly cooked, yet the brownie sundae remains a favorite dessert. Despite occasional delays, the chef's thoughtful gestures, such as discounts for long waits, help make the experience memorable. It is a great spot to relax in Solvang's charming downtown, whether for a leisurely meal or just drinks, and is considered one of the nicer dinner options in the area.
