Great service and the food is delicious!
Michelin recognized spot in Solvang. Had a reservation for 4 on a Friday at 7pm but they seated us late even though we arrived 3 minutes early. It was busy when we arrived, but even as the night went on and there were less people, it still took an hour and a half to receive our entrees. My dad literally sobered up during our dinner even after a bottle of wine - we spent a lot of time waiting at the restaurant, whether it was to order, get plates cleared, or get water.
Food-wise, it was decent but not Michelin quality. We had the crispy mozzarella arugula salad and crispy rice spicy tuna to start. The spicy tuna was not spicy but the crispy rice had a nice texture. The salad was well dressed and the mozzarella with mortadella was a good offset to the bitterness of the arugula. I split the rib eye with my boyfriend and ordered medium rare, but certain parts were cooked medium well. I think the steak rested too long underneath the heat lamp, because my mom’s filet mignon was supposed to be medium, but seemed more well done. They do have French fries (not on the menu); we had mushrooms on the side but those arrived a bit cold. We ended with the brownie sundae, which was my favorite part of the meal.
To their credit, the chef gave us a 10% discount for waiting so long for our meal. We appreciated the gesture very much. I think that if you want to come here, you must ensure that you have time for a leisurely meal.
This spot has a fantastic location right in the heart of Solvang’s charming downtown, making it a great place to stop while exploring the area. I tried their beer and really enjoyed it—flavorful and refreshing. I didn’t sample any of their other drinks, so I can’t speak to those, but the service overall was decent—not amazing, but not bad either. The food portions were very generous, definitely big enough to share if you’re not super hungry. I ordered the Caesar salad, but unfortunately it was far too salty for my taste. That said, it’s still a nice place to relax and hang out with a drink, especially if you’re looking to enjoy the small-town atmosphere and people-watch a bit.
Service and food was horrible.
Coming here was a good choice despite the price, haha. The food was excellent, the service was great; thank you Brock 😊 and lastly the atmosphere was cool. A special little thing for me during dinner was every single sauce that was included on the appetizer, entree, and dessert were all to die for. The horseradish something sauce with the halibut was relish despite my initial hesitation. I would go order that dish again. Moreover, that hollendaise sauce was 💯 for one reason IT DID NOT SMELL. Some hollendaise sauce smell like egg yolk which would make sense, however when that does happen, but it usually because it was not prepared correctly. Coast range was not that. The hollendaise sauce was grand! All and all, I will coming back.
Nice upscale steak and seafood restaurant in the heart of Solvang. Parking is available behind the restaurant or street parking. We enjoyed their ribeye steaks, scallops, lobster, salads, sides, and desserts. Tip: the ribeye Steak and salads are plenty for two to share.
All our food was delicious. We shared many dishes. All the sides, loaded potato, French fries, mushrooms, Mac n cheese, and French onion soup were so tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly, and lobster tails were sweet and tender. The pasta dish was so huge. The meat sauce was delicious with a cheese sauce that took it to another level. The picky eater enjoyed her fish and chips, which is rave reviews.
We felt the heaters coming on, but not warm enough for our comfort. The birthday girl received her vanilla Gelato that we all got to sample. Yummy.
Pet friendly. My pup got a water bowl and treats. We loved the service. Thank you
I love coming to Coast Range every year. We come for our anniversary or birthday celebration. Each visit has been beyond amazing, from the food to the service. I look forward to my next visit.
It is a nice restaurant but our dinner was somewhat ruined by the noise level
A large group of young women were seated beside us and someone in charge could have asked them to keep the conversation softer. The food was but not great for the price.
This restaurant is beautiful. My wife and I spent our 24th anniversary here; the staff was great. But, when it came to the food, my wife had filet mignon and I had the lamb chops. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly, but my lamb was overcooked. They were very happy to fix my meal, but unfortunately, my wife and I were unable to eat together as it took another 25 minutes for my food to be ready.

Very nice and welcoming place. Came in for bottomless mimosas , we were disappointed that it wasn’t “ truly bottomless”. Once we asked for a second mimosa , we were told we had to order off the menu for food to continue drinking “bottomless mimosas”, she suggested fries so we ordered their fries, after finishing the fries and our 2nd mimosa we asked for a refill and were instructed to order an entree before being allowed to order more refills. We chose this place off of their reviews and them offering bottomless mimosas. We were disappointed because we chose this place over other places thinking we would get more bang for our buck, unfortunately we ended up spending more for 2 mimosas and food requirements.

The food is good here, but not “great” for the price. Prices should be about 15-20% less for the quality. But being in the heart of Solvang makes up for it somewhat. Just be prepared to pay a lot for a little. 2 bread rolls are $7 but they are really good but if you’re expecting a basket of rolls then you’ll be surprised. Also be careful deviating from the drink menu because they will hit you hard with an up charge for grey goose so be ready to pay for it. Our Filet Mignons were good but a little tough and I had to spit out a pretty large chunk of gristle which is hard to forgive at these prices. Wife’s steak had the same issue. Their Mac and Cheese is really good but ours came out cold in the middle. And one very odd thing was that last year there were a ton of gnats flying around and we figured it was just an anomaly but a year later, we had gnats again, not as many but still there which kinda blew our mind. In the end, the people there are amazing and incredibly kind, friendly and attentive which helps justify the prices somewhat. Just go in knowing you’re going to likely spend over $300 for 2 people with tip and please always tip the staff as they are well worth it and work super hard.

We ended up here for brunch because a nearby restaurant was busy with a line wrapped out the door, so we simply stumbled upon this place. We checked out the menu and then realized it was a Michelin star restaurant! We were in luck because the all-American breakfast with the biscuits and bacon and the malted waffle with butterscotch chips were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was very quiet and there weren’t many people there at the hour we were there. Highly recommend this place!

I love the restaurant❣️ we’ve eaten there 5 times, and have not been disappointed. I’ve loved every dish; Caesar salad is wonderful, and the generous serving can easily be shared. My husband and mother in law shared the Lamb chops, I also had the delicious onion soup, Crispy chicken sandwich, various veggies where all delicious, and we had a very special doughnut for dessert. We really enjoyed the service. Very friendly and fast.
My mouth waters when I think of eating there👍🏼
The decor inside is warm and old fashioned cozy. Much of the construction done by one of the owners Joey. We were also served by Joey’s lovely wife Kimberly. I love the place, and will only eat there when I’m in town❤️

Disappointing. Service quality did not match price. Apathetic service. Inconsistent food. NY strips were cooked perfectly, tender if a bit under seasoned. Wasn’t sure what to make of the Brussels sprouts. Everyone loved the mushrooms. Great Parker house rolls. Calamari was so so.
