We stopped here during a weekend trip to Solvang with high expectations, especially after looking at the menu online. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being mixed at best.

We ordered what was supposed to be a sausage sampler. My girlfriend selected three out of four options, but instead of ringing it up as a sampler, we were charged for individual sausages with separate hoagie rolls for each. We ended up with an excessive amount of bread, far more than necessary, and it significantly increased the total cost. A lot of it went to waste, which was frustrating.

Availability was another issue. They were out of six or seven different sausages, and one we specifically wanted was still frozen and not ready to cook. This was around 12:30 p.m. on a Saturday, prime lunch time in a tourist town. Not being prepared to serve a full menu during peak hours felt like poor planning.

The beer situation was similar. Several options were unavailable, with kegs tapped out or items no longer in stock. Ordering turned into a back and forth of picking something, being told it was unavailable, then picking something else. The menu did not appear to be updated to reflect what was actually available, which added to the frustration.

To their credit, the sausages themselves were solid. I would rate the quality around a four out of five. The beer I did end up ordering was also good, and the large came in an impressively sized stein. That said, there was no visual reference for drink sizes, so you are essentially guessing when you order.

Overall, while the food itself was decent, the operational issues made the experience disappointing. Between limited availability, confusing billing, and lack of menu updates, it felt disorganized. Given the number of dining options in Solvang, I would probably try somewhere else next time.

Fantastic food. Bit of a line but moved along very quickly. The sausages were fantastic and they have a decent selection of sauces to enjoy as well. Beer was good and outside seeting was nice and clean.

Our first time here. The line was super long but our family said it would be worth it. We went on an insanely busy Saturday and they were right. The jalapeño cheddar was definitely our favorite. The only reason we did not give 5 stars is because there was no curry for the currywurst. There was clearly curry seasoning in the sausage but no true traditional sauce over top. And coming from Germany we were missing that and pretty disappointed when told only after ordering and receiving the sausages that they were out. The cleanliness was also lacking at the sauce station and table area.

Definitely worth a visit. Excellent beer and food menu. I had the sausage sampler and beer. There were at least 15 mustard to choose from.
