Solvang was crowded on the day we visited. Every restaurant was packed and long lines. Until we got to the end of the streets and passed by craft house which didn't have any lines. The place was nice and cozy. They also have outdoor seating. We ordered simple foods, nothing fancy, since not everyone was hungry. Pizza, chicken tenders, salad. They have a bar. The place is huge from the inside it seemed they have a banquet room.

Exceptional burgers. Good service. The town is great, this place is recommended to eat, without a doubt.

The food here is entirely too expensive to suck this bad, it might as well be Applebees or Buffalo Wild Wings. Burnt burgers, wrong salad, wrong dressing on the wrong salad, and it took forever to come out to boot. Leave feeling like a victim every time

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Craft House at Corque on New Year’s Eve around 4 PM. We were immediately seated, which was a great start to our visit. The restaurant has televisions, making it an excellent choice for those looking to enjoy a meal while catching a game (although note they don’t show UFC fights).

Our server, Paige, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. She made us feel right at home. The drink menu is extensive, featuring some unique and interesting cocktails, and the food menu is full of enticing options.

I ordered the 12 oz porterhouse, which comes with mashed potatoes and broccolini. I requested it medium rare, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in their craft.

We’re already planning to return for their happy hour and highly recommend this spot to others. If you’re visiting with a larger group, making a reservation in advance would be a smart idea.

We had been wanting to try out Craft House At Corque for some time, but the only thing we got out of it was the future knowledge that we won't return. I always try to be fair with my reviews, so let's start with the good: Great ambiance! Especially at holiday time. When we checked it, we were lead to believe that the desk/waiting list was well organized and were met by a very pleasant host who told us that it would be a 15 minute wait to be seated "so that the kitchen wouldn't get behind". Sounds great! 15 minutes went by and they sat us when they said they would. Table was nice... again, ambiance was nice. Our server seemed very pleasant... I had high hopes.

The prices for what you get are VERY high. The children's menu is tiny (literally chicken fingers, grilled cheese, and -very bad/basic- pizza). Our kids had their heart set on burgers, but not only is there no burger on the menu, but the only burger in the whole place (I was told before hand you could get burgers here) was a $40 wagyu beef burger. Yes, it's true, I should have done more research, but the prices are really high here for what you're getting. My wife ordered the curry with chicken (mid twenties I think) and while it was good... it was quite tiny... the size or a cup of soup. Not a bowl, a cup. My prime $50 prime rib was good... but being keto, it was really the only thing I could get that would be filling for the price. I wasn't going to spend $40 on a burger without the bun and where I couldn't eat a number of other things that came with it.

Now for the worst of it... the waitress said she'd get the "kids" orders in early since the kitchen was running a little slow. We had four kids with us. The two who ordered chicken fingers go there's pretty soon... but then the rest of the food came out nearly an hour later... except for the 3 year old who was with us who ordered a pizza that they just forgot the order. Part of the problem was that they had multiple people waiting on our table. The person bringing the food had no idea about the pizza order, while our actual waitress was confused why we were upset thinking it just came out a bit late instead of the reality of having to reorder it because she didn't put the order in.

Now I'm sure at this point of my review, I'm going to get different reactions from those with children and those without. Imagine getting 2 of the 4 children's orders early... one an hour later, and one well over an hour later because they didn't PLACE the order until an hour later. There are NO winners here... you have two hungry kids upset that their food isn't there... but then you had two kids done their meals and ready to go and not understanding why they have to hang out for another 90 minutes. Then the kid who didn't get his meal, fills up on French fries of everyone else and doesn't eat his pizza by the time it gets out. It's chaos! It's hard. And if you have kids, the Craft House just isn't for you.

We left feeling really ripped off in every way. Going out to eat is an investment in having a good time and we spent nearly $200 EACH (there were two families - just three adults) and we would have had a better time pretty literally anywhere else. We got to Solvang often and were excited to try and find a new place to eat... but rest assured, we won't be back and you shouldn't try it either. Don't let the great location and charm of the ambiance fool you. If money and time is no object and you don't have kids... that's the only folks I would recommend this place to.

We arrived at 9:15 PM after a long 7-hour trip, hoping to enjoy a nice dinner before the place closed at 10 PM. Unfortunately, the waiter’s demeanor was quite off from the start; when we asked how he was, he simply replied that he was tired, and his attitude felt a bit unfriendly. He rushed us to order, and it was hard not to notice his displeasure. We are just a family of two adults and two kids looking to enjoy our meal together. The restaurant itself is lovely and the food was tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired.

Nice restaurant next to Corque Hotel to grab a quick bite and drinks. After checking in to the hotel, we wanted to grab a quick bite without waiting a long time and stop for early dinner. My mother has a beef bourguignon, and I had the herb crusted prime rib. I would not recommend the prime rib - it didn't taste like anything unless dipped into horseradish sauce. The sweet and sour cauliflower was good, but sauce was too sweet and didn't have the balance or salty of spice.

Overall. If ever in town again, I'd be intrigued to try other menu items. Restaurant was recommended by staff, and drinks didn't disappoint.

I haven't tried the menu items, because my mom and I went for the special Grinch feast for Christmas day 2024. It was so delicious! And I tried one non alcoholic drink that was really good. :)

Vegetarian options: We have eaten here twice. Both times were great. The restaurant is elegant. The food has been outstanding both times. We ate pizza, salads, & a rice dish (with tofu). The drink menu is fun. It is the best place in Solvang for a classy meal.

A man, woman and child come in for lunch. The hostess give us a 10min wait time, collected a phone number and calls us around that time. Great job hostess! She also recommended something upon me asking. Here's where it all went wrong.

As we sat down, they hand my child a coloring page w/children's menu, only to find out they ran out of crayons the night before. Now he's frustrated.

Upon review of the menu, we see that it's NOT the menu posted out front. Normally, restaurants update their menus. This was clearly a ploy to get customers in.

One of us ordered a burger (medium to medium well preference) and it came medium rare. The issue was that the waitress never asked what the temperature.

Lastly, it took at least 43mins to get our food. Our food consisted of a burger and fries for one, and a short rib grilled cheese for the other. During this 43mins we counted, the waitress came by 3 different times saying the food was on the way.

The vibe and decor is elegant and the Hostess was great. Everything else was mediocre to terrible.

Kid-friendliness: No crayons for the coloring page they hand out.
