We gott there because we had a very bad coffee in another famous brunch restaurant.We ordered to take away. Quick service. Good coffee. Excellent quality of pastries and other sweet food. Highly recomended

Sadly, a classic ice cream parlor no more. We last visited 2/8/23 and were told, on the DL, that they would be permanently closing within a few months. It seems it's been even sooner. I won't repeat what was said, and I've held my review until hearing it had closed, but this was a very special business that brought much joy to locals and tourists alike. Thanks for all the great ice cream, fantastic employees, and fond memories. You will be missed, Doctor!

To set the record straight, the old ice cream parlor was named Bernardoz (the two principals' surnames were Bernard and Cardoza) and it was in the old bank building at the corner at 104 E Branch, and the corner of Branch and Bridge. They opened July 5 1976, and this was engraved into a mirror behind the counter. Maybe 10 years later they opened a second, larger location at the location where Burnstein's is. It was more of a sit-down ice-cream parlor and the original was too small for much sit-down.

Went 35 minutes before their posted closing time and the ice cream cases were empty. If you are going anywhere near closing just skip it.
Delicious ice cream amazing different flavors. A lot of choices and great service. My favorite is cookie dough, ice cream delicious.
