Great service, very good ambiance. Food was good, but Salmon and Pasta were salty. Couldn't enjoy those. Expected the best from them and was disappointed. And 5 wine servings for the wine pairing was too much. Wish we have skipped the wine pairing and ordered just by glass.

This was me and my wife's first 5 course meal experience. Let me tell you this was an amazing experience, food was excellent, service was amazing, and the ambience is perfect especially if you and your partner are the types that enjoy a quiet and lovely place to have dinner. I highly recommend this place, so if you're around the area have DINNER here yall wont regret it.

One the top 5 meals eaten this year - we travel a lot and try to find new experiences when eating out - everything here was a 10 - I think this should be at least a 1 Star Michelin restaurant. Each diner we saw was smiling and eagerly awaiting the next course - the use of sauces and a combination of fresh ingredients were extraordinary, creating an almost musical feeling, finally reaching a Crescendo with the last beautiful desert course and a quiet almost serene feeling of having had a moment that was extraordinary.

This was my second time to visit First & Oak, this tome with 2 guests who had never been. We had 2 5-course meals & 1 3-course; all with wine pairing. The entire experience was superb; hospitality, ambiance, food & wine quality; all beyond reproach. Between the 3 of us, we had almost all of the dishes offered, and there was no bad dish; the plating was beautiful, taste & temp perfect, wine pairing elegantly done. No complaints on any level. We highly recommend this experience; we will certainly be returning.

We had such a wonderful family dinner for three last Monday night! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The service was attentive without ever feeling rushed, and every dish that came out was absolutely delicious. Portions were generous, flavors were spot on, and everything was beautifully presented. The cozy atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy great conversation. It was the perfect setting for quality time with family, and we left feeling full and happy. Definitely a place worth returning to!

First of all first in Oak is a very welcoming restaurant and location, run by very competent and conscientious professionals. The food is outstanding and meticulously prepared. We loved it so much Friday, we went on Saturday with two of our friends. They loved it of course. Not a first time there and most certainly will not be our last. Thank you First and Oak! By the way, the wine pairings were amazing, helping us with some new discoveries.

The food was absolutely incredible. The thought and presentation of each course was brilliant. We brought a friend here for his birthday, he was very impressed. We have been to the restaurant every year for the last 4 years, we drive up to Solvang from Orange County just to have the dinner experience. It's an absolute must, an unforgettable food experience that is worth every penny.

Everything we ordered at First & Oak looked amazing. The presentation alone made the whole experience feel special. We went with the Seasonal Three Course with Local Wine Pairing and tried the Roast Cauliflower, Tuna Crudo, Ricotta Cavatelli, Filet of Beef, Chocolate & Honey, and Passionfruit Cheesecake.
Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and overall, the flavors were excellent. We genuinely enjoyed every course. The only exception was the Ricotta Cavatelli. It came with prosciutto and what tasted like mushrooms, though mushrooms weren’t listed on the menu. The flavor was a bit too heavy, and we couldn’t finish it. We wish someone had asked why, but no one did.
Still, it was a beautiful and satisfying meal. If you’re looking for a well-curated tasting experience in Solvang, this is a solid choice.

absolutely loved our experience here! as 2 vegetarians we didnt want to both get the same main option so we called ahead. the chef was so amazingly accommodating and made us our own dish which was so delicious!! i still dream of the cauliflower dish
