Everything we ordered at First & Oak looked amazing. The presentation alone made the whole experience feel special. We went with the Seasonal Three Course with Local Wine Pairing and tried the Roast Cauliflower, Tuna Crudo, Ricotta Cavatelli, Filet of Beef, Chocolate & Honey, and Passionfruit Cheesecake.
Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and overall, the flavors were excellent. We genuinely enjoyed every course. The only exception was the Ricotta Cavatelli. It came with prosciutto and what tasted like mushrooms, though mushrooms weren’t listed on the menu. The flavor was a bit too heavy, and we couldn’t finish it. We wish someone had asked why, but no one did.
Still, it was a beautiful and satisfying meal. If you’re looking for a well-curated tasting experience in Solvang, this is a solid choice.

absolutely loved our experience here! as 2 vegetarians we didnt want to both get the same main option so we called ahead. the chef was so amazingly accommodating and made us our own dish which was so delicious!! i still dream of the cauliflower dish

The food, hospitality, service, timing, ambiance, creativity, and overall skill sets. From hearing, to seating, to service, everything was exceptional. All of the staff were interacted with were friendly and helpful, answering any question we had. We did the 5 Course Prix-fixe. From the Amuse Bouche to the Entrée, every course was delicious. Very flavorful and perfectly prepared. We also did the wine pairing, which unfortunately did not contain the dessert wine 😔 Overall, I would highly suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for the perfect Date Night or Special occasion.

We got the 3 course option which was more than enough food. Cauliflower was so delicious, cavatelli also amazing, and finally the passion fruit tart and the mousse were heavenly. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a nicer dining experience.

Food was amazing, but the experience took away so much from the night. Front of house/guest greeting needs a lot of work. There was no host available and, when we did find someone in an office, they were short and seemed put out to talk to customers. Serving staff was hit and miss. Some servers were absoulute 5/5, others didn't seem to care much about customer service at all. Could have been such a great experience with just a little more care/effort.

We selected the 3 course menu with wine paring. Everything was perfectly prepared with tasty combinations of sauces and accompaniments. Michelin Plate rating is well deserved. Wonderfully tasty Roast Cauliflower is a must try.
