It is impossible to cancel a membership here. I have contacted the winery 6 times - after the third email I received written confirmation that my wine club membership was canceled. But then they sent me my upcoming shipment, indicating that they lied and never canceled my membership at all. Fast forward three more emails and still nothing. I. Addition, my last three shipments came with at least one bottle that was corked. Will be reporting to my credit card company for fraud…

Stopped by yesterday and I'm still dumbfounded by the horrible service we received. We were a group of four interested in wine tasting and the gentleman started by telling us that all four must participate, as he cannot have us take up the only table for four. ... we were the ONLY people there... He continued by being condescending when asking him questions regarding which wines we should taste "as if he could read our minds and know our palate preferences." I guess I misunderstood the point of wine TASTING. I've never left a place so fast.

NOPE - STAY FAR AWAY IF YOU'RE A PERSON OF COLOR.The older white lady here ruined our trip. We visited Solvang for the first time and felt absolutely rejected because we were Asian. And my 5 points below will support this.1. We came in and were left standing by the door for a good 5 minutes while an older guy was helping other customers. There was a White lady standing behind the bar. She saw us and didn't even bother to acknowledge us.2. Midway through our tasting, I dropped their glass by accident. The white lady behind the bar looked up, took a breather, SHOOK HER HEAD AND TOTALLY DISMISSED WHAT HAPPENED. Again, no immediate attention or acknowledgment , so we sat there with broker glass by our feet for a good 5 minutes until the guy came by and picked up the glass. No regards or napkins were given. He asked if I had any wine left in the glass and I said, "Oh, just a little." He did not do the courtesy to fill up the same wine again.3. When we went up to ask the lady for napkins (who again saw what happened), she asked "HOW MANY?" At this point, we were pretty much done here....4. Almost through our tasting, it got pretty busy, and she started to get her ass out of the bar to help. She went to every table to ask how they were doing except.... you guessed right. EXCEPT OUR TABLE. And yes, we were the people of color there.5. We just wanted out at this point. As we were leaving, a table that she was having a nice convo with earlier dropped a glass. Pretty hilarious to us as we watched her grin drop into a frown but still managed to force a smile and tell that table it's okay...PLEASE DON'T GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH THE TINIEST BIT OF RESPECT.

Don't come here if you have an accent and want to sit with your party. The server will make racist comments about you and will make you feel like crap before you even step in and taste. I went to get a table with my parents to go tasting, and the server made a face when we walked in. There was another couple who was sitting next to us who loudly asked if they could move when the server said "I would do the same if I was next to that family." We have never received this kind of treatment even when wine tasting in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, and Italy. They're rarely open and when they do open, cater to the racist crowd.

Have been to this lounge many times when we visit Solvang. Today on Yelp said it was open 3-7. Went in at 530 and the server said sorry no tastings as I have a class to go to! I said you weren't open a 3 and now you close at 530? Won't be back!

We usually stop by here when in Solvang but when we tried to stop by this weekend during their normal hours we were told they are closed. They said they would reopen later which was very vague. They do have good wines. There's a bar to sit at or two small tables where you can sit.

I loved their location and the intimacy of a small tasting room. Their wines are Ok compared to other Santa Rita Hills wineries. I became a member so I could visit Solvang with friends and visitors.PROBLEM:They are seldom open, even when the posted hours are observedThey don’t answer the phone or emails.I finally returned their allotment of wine cancelling my membership. Several months have gone by and I’ve not received a refund.I had to cancel my credit card charge. They are not customer friendly and the signs of this winery’s failure is already evident.

Thanks Eric, all we wanted was a flight sampler but instead we came out with a membership.

Lots of potential, but poor customer service. The gentleman that works there is very nice and knowledgeable but the owner doesn't seem to care about the business much. If you try to wine taste with a party larger than 2, you will be told you aren't welcome, even if the tasting room only has 2 other people in it. There are way too many great tasting rooms in Solvang to put up with poor management.

As a business owner, first is the client, then is your own preferrences. With out clients you will only have a consumer. When greeting customers you SHOULD never lead with a negative, when owning your business you cannot mix your emotions with logic. The gentleman that greeted my party started not by saying good afternoon, nor a welcome, his first words were WE CAN NOT ACCOMODATE ANY ONE ELSE! , it doesn't matter what comes after that, you already lost me. All I wanted was to buy some chocolate and a few bottles of wine. (This is so that I can have a MEGA PINT OF WINE) ? we did find plenty of other welcoming spots. Will pray for this business in hopes that they can find someone with great customer service skills, or better yet, please advise me I can get you a bigger location to accommodate more happy clients.

I usually don't like leaving bad review but you should SKIP this one. There so many others with amazing wine and wonderful service. The owner is rude and she will not let you wine taste if she feels like your party will "interrupt my wine tasting"(straight quote from her) even though you are there to wine taste and looking to join a wine club. Thankfully we ended up finding other wine tasting spots such as Calilove ( try the slushy wine!) And Arrowsmith's. Really not worth coming to Lion's peak that looks outdated with a musky (moldy?) Smell. Here is an advice to management: you should realize you are in a customer service business maybe?

Walked by this place and the leopard chairs grabbed my attention.. the gentleman was very knowledgeable and great to talk to. He even over poured if we liked something. My favorite was The Lions Tear red wine

If you're looking for a great educational wine tasting, this is the place to come! Came here yesterday afternoon, and the gentlemen who helped us educated on the types of wine they have and how they are made. So happy we decided to try this place out, we went home with 2 delicious bottles of wine. A sparkling rosé and a viognier wine, both delicious and something like we've never had before. We will make sure we visit this place every time we stop in Solvang. Thank you so much for the great experience and the great service. Prices too are incredible for a winery, went to 2 other spots after and this one was our favorite.
