Wonderful breakfast place with old world charm. The Danish pancakes were large and delicious. The butter along with the syrup just added to the experience . The Danish sausages were surprisingly flavourful. All in all definitely a do over!

Loved the food and the people. We ordered a Ground Beef steak with eggs, Italian Omelet and Waffles. Beef was cooked to perfection. Little crowded though. Would definitely come back.

Great food. Friendly staff. Be prepared to wait as this place is busy.

Great for breakfast and brunch. There could be a wait but worth it. Good service. Good for pancakes, Benedict’s and sandwiches. Loved the veggie sandwich!

First off this place is well worth the hype!

The staff was super friendly and their breakfast was insanely good and reasonably priced. I had their country fried steak and biscuits and gravy and it was 10/10!!

We were recommended Paula's as a fan favorite for breakfast in downtown Solvang, so naturally we had to try it out. Clearly you could tell it was the spot to be because by the time we left, all indoor and patio seats on a chilly day were filled. They're known for their pancakes (obviously) - short stack were as expected (light, fluffy) and the Dutch thin pancakes were thin, but even bigger than the stack (so don't worry, you will have plenty of food). The half portion of bacon was two pieces that were good, but thinner than expected. Only recommendation - do not get a muffin (could be my mistake for even ordering that). It tasted odd/off - almost soapy or just fake banana flavor in the banana nut muffin. Hard to describe, but yeah, do not recommend. Otherwise, fast diner-style service. They work hard to get you fed and out the door.

Busy because it's the most convenient option for breakfast on main Street not because the food is really great. Meals are Just Ok. A bit pricey, however the staff is friendly and attentive.

I wasn't impressed by this place, the quality of the food is very similar to Denny's. It's really basic food and when you're paying around $15-$20 per dish I was expecting something better. Also the amount of noise inside and the flies that were everywhere made it hard to even enjoy the time spent. The server we had was super sweet though but all in all I won't be back.

We had the Danish pancakes and a Danish omelet for breakfast. The pancakes are European style, large and thin, akin to a crepe. With glazed apple on top. Delicious. The omelet features their Danish sausage with havarti cheese. Very light and great. Fruit cup was all fresh fruit, nothing from a can. Service fast and efficient. A busy festive place. Highly recommend.

This place is a joke and tourist trap. They messed up my order, I waited for an hour for the table (party of 8) and of course since a tip was not at risk they couldn’t have cared about making it right. I approached my server in a private setting to get a replacement since by the time they fixed my order my party was finished eating, and they didn’t even care. I had the hostess and three servers gang up on me when I tried to show them how my order was mishandled and then they literally “bullied me” into accepting the order. I had asked for a replacement to go (privately) and instead of refusing it, my servers daughter came to the table to loudly and publicly embarrass me for asking for a to go order I could actually eat. Foul businesses practices. I’m a small business owner and was appalled at the way the situation was handled. I will never use this establishment again, it’s mediocre at best anyway. My family spends lots of time in Solvangand it turned us all off for good. Spend your money at any other establishment in Solvang. These people will gladly take your money and talk crap to your face over a dry, chewy, foul pastrami sandwich. Byyeeeee Paula’s!

Food was cold! The pancakes, eggs, bacon, and toast were all not fresh. They were probably cooked earlier in the morning to be served later due to high demand. Food ingredients were cheap quality. Not recommended. If you have to go maybe try Omelette or something that is hard to prepare before hand, so you might have warm food to enjoy. But you will feel like rushed the entire time there. They want you out ASAP so they can serve the people waiting outside. We will never go back. Not worth the time and money.
