This was our favorite place we visited in Sonoma! Patrick was fabulous. I feel like we both learned a lot and genuinely enjoyed all of the wines we tried. The space they did the tasting in was also gorgeous and the indoor outdoor really enhanced the vibe. Loved it 10/10.

A hidden gem in the heart of Sonoma! When my husband and I decided to take a spontaneous weekend trip to Sonoma for wine tasting, we stumbled upon Auteur Wines—and what a happy accident it was! From the moment we walked in, the experience felt personal and welcoming. Patrick hosted our first tasting and was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also a joy to chat with.
We loved it so much, we became members that very day. Now, a year later, every visit feels just as special—whether it's tasting with friends or attending one of their curated events. Each experience is memorable, and the wines are consistently outstanding.
We're also thrilled to see Auteur thriving, especially with their beautiful new location in the Russian River Estate in Healdsburg. Cheers to many more visits and continued success!

This tasting room was suggested to us by a Sonoma native and we were not disappointed. The team took us in as a walk in from the cold winter rain and made the whole tasting extreme personable. We became members after our tasting with Zach and he was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wine process. Angie also helped us with our entry and spritz before our tasting welcoming us in and explaining the wine making process. This is a gem of the Sonoma Plaza and I'd recommend this to any wine drinker.

My husband and I visited Auteur for a tasting on a slow, hot Sunday and had the most fabulous time. Auteur is everything I love about wine country - they're warm instead of haughty, humble instead of boastful, and passionate about winemaking. Their wines were unexpected and evocative, our favorite was a pinot noir from their vines near the ocean in tricky conditions where they're sometimes unable to harvest. The tasting was bespoke and personalized and the team felt like good friends by the time we left. We look forward to returning to the Auteur bungalow next time we're in Sonoma!

Susie made us feel right at home with her comfortable ease while she tailored our tasting to our personal preferences… although known for their amazing Pinots, we enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon as well as the Chardonnay… the passion and excellence is evident at Auteur… highly recommend!
