We had the best afternoon at Bartholomew Estate! Mason was very kind and made us feel extremely welcome. We took our time and never felt rushed. After the tasting we bought a bottle and explored their gorgeous estate and vineyards, they gave us plastic wine bottles to sip wine on our journey! Looking forward to next time we visit.
Absolutely beautiful estate. We booked the last slot available and everyone was very gracious and welcoming. very professional waiters, definitely a more corporate feel. The tasting was a bit self guided but it was nice to be able to enjoy the wine and scenery by ourselves. Tastings were also very generous and wine was delicious! They don’t serve food or snacks but the crackers they provided were delicious. The best part was being able to explore the vineyard and the property as a whole. They even had a small, wine themed art gallery inside. We ended up purchasing a bottle of their Pinot Noir, I believe. We ended up not being able to check our luggage back home so we had to leave the bottle behind but will go back in a heartbeat next time we’re in California. 10/10 experience for a truly delicious tasting and a beautiful, large property where you can wonder the grounds without requiring a booked tour. Our host was very friendly and professional
We visited Bartholomew Winery for my bachelorette weekend and honestly, Mason MADE the entire experience unforgettable. He wasn’t just a server—he was the highlight of our trip. Mason was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited to share his knowledge. He explained every wine in a way that was fun and approachable, making us all feel like instant wine experts.
What really set him apart was how thoughtful he was—he hand-picked a bushel of grapes from the vineyard so we could taste them alongside the wine, which was such a magical and personal touch. It felt like we were getting a private, behind-the-scenes tour. Mason struck the perfect balance of professional and fun, giving us all the bachelorette celebration vibes while making sure we left with a real appreciation for the wine.
If you’re planning a visit, ask for Mason. He turns a great winery into an extraordinary experience. We left with full hearts, happy memories, and a new favorite spot in town—all thanks to him!
We had the most incredible experience at Bartholomew Estate during our bachelorette wine tasting! From the moment we arrived, the setting was breathtaking — serene vineyards, shaded outdoor seating under the trees, and an overall vibe that was elegant yet relaxed.
But what truly made our day unforgettable was Mason, our amazing host. He was not only knowledgeable and attentive, but also full of energy and fun — exactly what we needed for a celebration! Mason went above and beyond to take care of us, making sure everyone felt welcomed and engaged. The highlight? He brought us fresh grapes straight off the vine to taste — such a special and thoughtful touch that made the experience feel personalized and authentic.
The wine was absolutely delicious, with a variety of beautifully crafted reds and whites that impressed our whole group. You could taste the quality and care in every glass. Even better, we learned that Bartholomew Estate is a philanthropic winery, giving back to the community — which made enjoying their wine feel even more meaningful.
This was the perfect spot for our bachelorette celebration, and we left with full hearts (and maybe a few bottles to take home!). Huge thanks again to Mason for making our visit so memorable — you're a gem!
Highly recommend Bartholomew Estate for anyone looking for a top-tier wine tasting experience with heart, flavor, and charm. 🍷💍🍇
Mason was AWESOME! We had a beautiful time at the winery. The entire experience was top notch and will absolutely be back! Can’t wait to drink the bottles we are taking home!
Me and my girlfriend loved this winery! We didn't even know before going that the winery is a non-profit that conserves the park, which is really awesome! The plants and the view of the hills in the tasting area were really beautiful. We really liked our tasting and Zach was a great host! We definitely want to go back sometime!
We chose this winery because you can purchase a bottle to enjoy outside in their garden instead of doing the tasting. The winery is located at the end of a small but scenic road, making this place even more picturesque. When we arrived at the tasting room, the gentleman let us try the rose and white before were chose a bottle. He was really friendly and helpful and gave us some history. He let us know that Bartholomew is a non-profit winery and all proceeds go to conserving the grounds and the hiking trails, etc…I really liked this aspect of this winery as many of the wineries in Napa and surrounding areas seem to be owned by large companies, so the fact that is one isn’t is refreshing. After we chose the wine he provided us some plastic glasses and escorted us to the garden. We had a lovely time relaxing in the garden. Saw some lizards, hummingbirds and other birds. This is a beautiful place and I would highly recommend checking out this winery.
This is how you do wine. Well done. Delicious
Great wine and fantastic staff, dog friendly. Folks under 21 are not allowed in the winery but all ages are welcome to enjoy the surrounding park. Bring a picnic.
I took my niece and her friend here for a wonderful tasting, orchestrated by Mason. It was too hot for me outside, and Mason got the ok to provide the tasting inside. He shared a perfect amount of information about the wines, and moved away quietly when we were talking. He answered all of our questions and listened carefully to our preferences when pouring. He also facilitated a good group photo, and made sure we were aware of the art in the gallery and what it supports. Afterwards we took a short stroll around the grounds - a perfect afternoon!
It's terrific that the proceeds from the tastings go to maintaining this beautiful winery and its hiking trails. I'm guessing that the people complaining about not being able to sit in the tasting areas with their kids are not aware of the multiple areas on the property for picnicking with their families.

Wonderful winery with excellent wines and beautiful outdoor seating.
The atmosphere is relaxed and scenic, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The wine selection is impressive, and the outdoor seating adds to the charm. Highly recommended for a laid-back yet refined experience.
Love the setting of the wine tasting! Great wine options that are affordable. If you are going as a pair, go for the sharing option. Sharing a flight if you are not a heavy drinker could be a great option. Bring some picnic mat if you want to chill at the park nearby
I hosted a corporate event with Bartholomew and couldn’t say better things about my experience. Marisa, the events manager I worked with, was so attentive to our specific needs and asks, extremely responsive, and ensured we had the best day.
We were in the “eucalyptus grove” which is a tad more secluded and perfect for events with cornhole and such. Bartholomew is such a hidden gem - highly recommend going with a small group or event alike. Will definitely be coming back :)
The horse experience it’s really good!
The vineyard is really beautiful!
The wine tasting was not very satisfying. The location was not nice, in the back of the building. Our server pour wine in the same glasses mixed white with red wine. The place was empty because was during the week, but the service wasn’t good
The tour was amazing! Highly recommend for locals and visitors too! Learned so much about the history of winemaking in California. Plus the wine tasting space is beautiful!
