Cochon Volant Bbq closed a few months ago and this location is now Il Fuoco Pizzeria. It's a huge improvement as far as the ambience (it totally embraces its "Italian" theme with classic movies playing in the background such as Roman Holiday, heaters for outdoor seating, pretty lighting, etc). The pizzas are AMAZING, also.
Stopped for some brisket sandwiches on a slow Saturday afternoon. When we arrived in the restaurant there were no patrons seated so we ordered to-go and received our food quickly from friendly staff. When we got home, I took a bite into the sandwich and the taste was just off... I added some of the sauce and it didn't help very much. The candied bacon was good, but needed more maple. I don't think I'll be coming here again. I'm a little bummed out, because...
Awesome bbq! Stopped in on way to Russian river to stay ahead of the hunger curve: great choice. Chili was delicious with unique smokey flavor and delightful spicy kick! Totally recommend!
