It was ok but no queso.
I had a very pleasant experience here. The food came out very fast and was delicious! I had the chicken chimichanga — the tortilla had the perfect crunch to it and the chicken was juicy and seasoned great. The guacamole that came with it was delicious too. Highly recommend!
Been going to LaCasa for almost 30 years

The Plaza in Sonoma is nice....if you just want to sit, hang out, eat, or drive around. We opted to take our Mom here for lunch, she's lived here for 30+ years and always enjoys getting out of the house, this is one of her go to spots.
We stopped in on a Monday, around 1 and had no issues being seated. The staff was attentive. We asked about the history of the restaurant (info hanging on wall) and they were not informed enough to answer. So much history in this area to learn about.
The food was good for the price point, we especially enjoyed the chips and salsa. The green sauce had just the right amount of tang and refried beans were excellent. And bonus, their beans are gluten free!

The food came very fast and the people were very pleasant but the food was just so so. Among the food we ordered, the carbe asada was probably the best.

This place has such a good atmosphere and very good quality food that we cancelled our reservation at OSO in sonoma and just came back here. Staff is on top of their game. Never waiting for anything longer than a couple minutes. The place sounds like your typical mexican restaurant but the food is phenomenal for the price point. Highly recommend if your’re down here

Great dinner for a party of 6. My wife and I split the Combo Fajitas and it was very good. We would get it again.

We stopped in for lunch after a visit to the mission. We were immediately greeted by the friendly hostess and bartender. We asked some questions about the menu based on our families dietary restrictions. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our server, Agustin, was so patient and extraordinarily helpful and kind. He recommended a dish for me and it was delicious! We had an incredible meal! The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious, from the chips and guacamole to the inspired entrees. All of the beans are prepared without lard, and all three were perfect: black, pinto, and refried. Everyone in our party of six was thrilled and stuffed by the end of the meal. We will definitely be back!!
While visiting family, I stumbled upon La Casa and haven’t stopped thinking about their tortilla soup with chicken—it was warm, hearty, and packed with flavor. The relaxed ambiance made my visit even more enjoyable. Such a pleasant spot—I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in town.

Great location and I think that's what you're really paying for because it's way too expensive for the taste and portion. The food is mediocre, and I'd say it's more on the bland side, and on top of it being a pricey Mexican restaurant, you also have to pay for the chips.
Nice place, I can only recommend they be better prepared for big reservations and important events.
