This is an amazing place to spend a day or an entire weekend. The scenery is beautiful, and the wine is some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s also dog-friendly, and the property is home to the cutest trio of labs that wander around and make the experience even better.

Not a great spot if you actually care about wine, even with kids. We were not able to do a tasting due to staffing, so we could only have a single glass. Both varieties we tasted were unpleasant, not well balanced, and overall quite inferior to other Sonoma wineries. The space for kids to run was nice, but not worth a visit. A playground without any wine would have been superior to our experience here. I'd skip this one.

What a beautiful place to spend a day with family. We picked this place while driving by and were happy to bring kids along. They had a pumpkin patch in the back for kids to enjoy, a green space with games, a sand box and space for adults to enjoy wine while over looking the vineyard. The service was good and our server made good recommendation of wine and food. The best part was their family dog who was so friendly with the kids and was making rounds all around the property. You can bring your dog as well and let them enjoy the space.

We stumbled into Larson Family Winery without a reservation, and what we thought would be a quick stop turned into one of the absolute highlights of our trip.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and hospitality. Brian was our host, and he truly made the entire experience exceptional. He had an incredible blend of humor, knowledge, and storytelling that made us feel like old friends rather than new guests. Not only did he guide us through a generous and delicious tasting (complimentary, no less!), but he also surprised us with a spontaneous tour of the winery. His stories about the family history, winemaking process, and local legends gave the whole experience a personal and memorable touch.
During the tour, we even got to meet Hayden, who’s married to one of the Larson daughters. It was so cool to meet someone from the family and get a sense of the heart and legacy behind the winery. We got to chat with Hayden for a bit after the tour and got to connect over our mid-western roots.
And let me just say—this place gets what it means to be kid-friendly. They had juice boxes, coloring pages, and plenty of space for kids to roam safely. Our children were not only welcomed, they were included in the experience. Brian even made them a part of the tour, which was such a thoughtful touch. You can play bocce ball and corn hole while sipping wine and soaking in the view. It felt like the perfect blend of relaxation and fun for the whole family.
We’ve been to a lot of wineries, but very few strike the balance between exceptional wine, genuine hospitality, and a family-friendly environment the way Larson does. Whether you have kids in tow or not, do yourself a favor and stop here. We’ll definitely be back!
