My friend and I enjoyed a Birthday Celebration last night at Layla. I ordered the scallops and was shocked at how flavorful they were - I believe they were the best scallops I have ever had! They service was spot on - and very welcoming. Can't wait for my next visit to Layla.

Reasonable portions for fantastic food! The rolls melt in your mouth, the pasta was flavorful without being drenched in sauce, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would dine again!

Awful service. Disgusting inedible entree. We were a group of 10 which between appetizers, entrees, desserts, coffee drinks, two different bottles of wines plus hard liquor drinks that equates to a very very generous bill. My dish, the tortellini, was disgusting and absolutely unappetizing. I ate one whole tortellini and couldn’t bring myself to finish the rest of the dish. It was awful. I’m not sure where the waiter’s head was but he didn’t bother to ask or remedy the situation by offering a replacement or asking what was wrong. And it was very obvious this plate wasn’t being touched. The fact that he also charged our party for a plate that was untouched is inexcusable, insulting and demonstrates the poorest and lowest form ofCustomer service. I would never expect this type of behavior or treatment from a restaurant that considers itself fine dining. I would be embarrassed if I were the owner/management/chef of this establishment, and this was the type of representation and treatment being shown towards customers paying $$$$$.

By far our favorite dinner we had during our week long stay in Sonoma. Staff was so friendly and attentive. Restaurant is beautiful. And the food was excellent - modern, fresh, and delicious!

I thought I had brunch reservations only to find out I had thought it was a weekend and not a Friday. The menu is minimal. I had the falafel burger but wasn't entirely impressed. It was dry and the bun didn't sit well with me. The salmon was cooked well with a good amount of flavor. The waitress gave us someone else's bill but luckily was able to catch it before we left.

Manager Marty Sullivan's staff are professional, courteous, and friendly, making for yet another wonderful evenign. The fennel cream with herb oil and caviar made the Scallops out of this world! Looking forward to coming back.

Kivelstadt sauv and OF on an impromptu decision for post dinner-rush drinks. Great service and nice, mellow mood at the bar.

A friend took me to Layla's for breakfast. Ambience was great. Food was terrible. I ordered a simple breakfast of eggs over medium, bacon, potatoes. All of it was overcooked. The bacon was like a cardboard. The eggs were hard and overcooked! The potatoes were hard, burnt and too crispy! I did not finish my dish! Very disappointed. My girlfriend's breakfast was not acceptable either ! We will not be going back there.

The food is excellent had the Avacadoe toast with smoked salmon also the waitress remembered me from over a year ago and what I did I was really impressed very nice person excellent service

Always a 5-star experience at Layla - from checking in with the host staff, to the lovely dining room space, to the great friendly service and the outstanding food. We love Layla and try to come in at least once a week if not more: we always aim to support local and their hospitality is matchless in Sonoma! Highly recommended - we, particularly, like breakfast/brunch!

Layla is beautiful restaurant with wonderful ambiance. The bar area has a very cool, comfy vibe. Service was outstanding, as was the food. If I were to quibble, I'd say the banana dessert was a little too heavily seasoned on top for my taste (it overwhelmed the flavor of banana), but it was by no means “bad.” Just not my favorite. The Meyer lemon pudding cake was delicious, and the sunchoke tortellini was divine. Our server, Christy, was a lovely ray of sunshine.

While our waitress was perfectly friendly, the service delivery was very slow. No attention was made to watch our drinks or our table water to ask us if we wanted refills on anything. My guest ordered the chop salad tossed with very little dressing, and she received a salad that was drenched in dressing and hardly edible. I ordered the soup which was advertised as a bowl and mounted to literally five spoonfuls of soup. We will not be going back here for lunch.

My husband and I came to Layla to celebrate our anniversary and we could not have been happier with our choice. The food was delicious and the place was beautiful, but it was the service that made our day! Christie our server was very attentive and nice. Her food recommendations were spot on! We even got a happy anniversary card, as well as complimentary wine glasses to start the evening. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again soon.

10/10 the best dining experience I have ever had. Reservations were made via Open Table which is always so easy. Locating Layla is super convenient as it is located within the MacArthur Hotel. For scene set up, my husband & I are there to celebrate our anniversary (10 years together, 7 married) & we are already so giddy to be here. Upon entry we are greeted by the most gracious people on earth; people who clearly work here but have nothing to do with our evenings adventures, they are just being kind! It was incredible & it was noted. Upon being seated right away, Lexi (the sweetest & best server) immediately brought us over two glasses of champagne & & congratulated us on our anniversary. While I was the one who informed the location of the celebratory occasion, Layla going the extra foot to bring the champagne & make us feel extraordinary right out the gate was something else. It really is the little things that set places a part - & you did it! The menu is written very well. Everything is labeled with ingredients, whether the dish caters to vegetarians or vegans, each dish is clearly identified. Lexi also asked us if we had any food allergies that they should be aware of. This was a wonderful & thoughtful touch, more places should do this. Not sure if we just got lucky, if Lexi was having as much fun as we were, or if the stars were in our favor this night, but one of the coolest thing thats ever happened in our dinning experience took place; The chef brought out a small tasting of a dish for us to try. We did not order it, he just made it & brought it to us! It was a new dish that Chef was testing out (although only brought to our table this evening ;) ) It was delicious! We felt so special this night, & I really hope Leyla knows it. Everything we ordered had the most beautiful presentation & perfect portions. Appetizer : Lamb meatballs (3) Main: Tortellini. They are so creamy & melt in your mouth Main: Duck Breast, was to die for. Thanks, Layla!

In a word: disappointing. We decided to drive from Napa to check out the Sonoma Restaurant Week offerings. Though on paper a good deal, it took forever to arrive and both options (halibut sandwich and steak frites) were extremely bland. I tried to zhuzh the halibut up first with hot sauce, then with vinegar, to no avail. We believe both dishes were not seasoned at all. Our $25 lunches, total $50 for two was more than doubled with two very expensive libations. One okay rose, one delicious cocktail, but that added $40 to the check. On the plus side, our server was very kind and the space is beautiful. She looked apologetic about the food and service, but it was clear that the delays came from the kitchen. Sadly won't be back.
